THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the Nova os so badass! id like to pick me up a old muscle car to build, but that would invole getting rid of the jeeps, and i dont want to give up wheelin

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the nova sure looks purrrrty in the second pic.

on another note... my steering is pretty much in! it needs to be aligned, and i have to paint and installl the solid cover, but after that all i *think* i have to do to the front axle is toss the brakes back on, get it back on the wheels and align it (trackbar also)!

worrrrd

also.... advance auto parts carries moog stuff, btw. good to know that since now i don't have to wait for shipping from rockauto or something, and if i have to quickly pick up a spare rod end they'll have it. sweetness on that part

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i saw a amc eagle wagon today gonna go back tomorow to see if its for sale, if its in good shape i may pick it up as the new dd, either way ive been wanting one for awhile

Thanks

Travis.

Nitros- $500 shipped
Superior Imports- $500
Superior w/ domestic outers $680

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The Superiors with domestic outers for 680 (I'm assuming the discovery series inners) would be my first choice, but the jump in money leaves me with second thoughts on that. Is it worth it for upgrading the outers?? I'm kind of thinking the Discovery Series for both the inners and outers at $500 is a good deal... Any thoughts/suggestions etc comparing Nitro to Superior (Discovery series)??

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

um.. get the nitros so you have one less week (or however long it takes you to save $$) saving up money so its one more week of your jeep on the road / wheeling!

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Locker is in(Thanks Colin), next time I need to install a locker I'm pulling the carrier. Drove it around the parking lot and chirped the tires a couple times and now I'm in. Next is steering, maybe that will happen tomorrow. Depends on how Ross feels, I have all MOOG steering ends to go in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey mr bill!! what're your thoughts on the axle options??

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's awesome, I'm doing it and I'm going to even do him one better and slap a couple cool stickers on mine.

ooh don't forget NOS stickers add 20hp, and painting calipers red adds another 10hp too!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

travis get some crap that won't break. there's my input.

i would say something worth reading, but i don't really know a whole lot about the 44... so i feel like anything i say isn't worth much

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

lol why thank you sir :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

any time sir

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, the Nova looks stellar!
Travis, your choice, it's a though one. I don't know what I'm going to go as far as brands either,
Anthony, if you get a chance PM me the details on your rear discs I'm debating a ZJ or KJ swap over replacing the drums on Angel's new 8.25. Got to find some backing plates.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I need a three sided coin :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if i were to do it again, the only thing i would do differently would be the e brake setup on the ZJ discs... there's not a good way to do it with the ZJ discs unless maybe you got ZJ ebrake lines... i dunno, i did it on the cheap and in a hurry. i still want to fix that... but i need to get the WJ setup in the front working properly first.

the zj discs are WAY cheaper than KJ stuff and good luck finding KJ parts in a JY.
