Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn it. you're right. haha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Should I buy control arm drop brackets or long arms?

If I were to go for the drop brackets i'd get the Rough Country Brackets.

Long arms: RK 3 Link with JJ's instead of heims.

I'm leaning toward drop brackets because i'll be saving like 800 including labor and the JJ's

What do you guys think about that? I think my control arm angles are contributing toward my DW.

Wait until you get your track bar in first.

But otherwise, I'd say drop brackets. Workin fine for Mark and save the money.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm sleepy :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yea i'm probly getting them after Carlisle but i'm just thinking about what to do to my jeep next.

Ross...I ordered that bolt that you posted the link on. I'll let you know when it gets here. I think we ight have to shorten my trackbar by like 1/2". The hole in the RE bracket is 1/4" closer to the center of the Jeep and the JJ is larger than the stock joint. The joint that's in the trackbar currently is 4 or 5 threads from being bottomed out. I think i'm gonna recess the JJ into the head of the bolt to but down on the length as much as I can.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was twelve years old when it came out, and have had TRUE ROMANCE Many times in my life...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

DAMN. I remember that now...

:worship: nicely done sir :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was waiting for Mark to whine about his. :spin1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had drop brackets in my last xj and I thought they worked great with the leafs in back. There was no extra unloading compared to the back that had to catch up. I'd save the money until you can either change your front axle or change your rear suspension.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it was a good flick.

but I have a question now...

where does this line come from...

"there is just never enough time when your working..."

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yes, True Romance it is. The studio gave it that name so it bombed at the theater because most guys didnt want to see it and mostly girls went and didnt like it. I was in my first year of college.

The only thing I plan on chaning on my rear suspension is the addition of shackle relocation boxes.

My front axle is okay for right now...until I blow something vital up. I'll be building something beefy in the next few years. I'll probably end up with drop brackets even with the different front axle. Mark has drop brackets with his 44 and as far as I know he's happy with performance of them. If I went long arms I'd only gain 3-4" of travel up front if I was lucky so i'm not really losing any travel. I'd also have to worry about unloading with long arms.
