My red Jeep passed inspection with half a rocker on each side. :dunno:
My parent's Expedition hasn't had any problems with a rotted out rocker for the past couple of years.
I see plenty of rust buckets with rotted out areas driving around with stickers.

mitchell's drivetrain in shrewsbury, MA is good. not sure on their prices but they've helped me out a lot with other random things and they certainly know their stuff.
