They tend to make a racket when the bearings are going. Didn't you say it was running hot too?

anthony? I know its 5 on 5.5 and the thing about the spiders seems weird, but I'm sure you could have them redrilled cheaply enough or even possibly do it yourself. Only thing is the issue with the spider gear. ...but for the cost being some beer...

Alan you should have bought the 2dr I just had for sale, plus what happened to the one in Millbury?
So I blasted out of work early today and picked up my little 4yr old some shiners because this year shes on a fishing kick, last year it was a Koi pond daddy had to build, and she not at the pond 5mins. and I get a call about a giant snapping turtle thats down there, then 9 mins. later I get a text with a pic of a fish she just caught, immediately calls me to ask if I got the pic and then says I gotta go because she got another bite. Meanwhile I'm stuck at home sweating lugging a D60 around my driveway by myself. What the F!!!! Heres a pic of the fish. I need to get to the pond.

Loose torque convertor bolts? Cracked flexplate? I now see that you said FRONT of engine, but you never know, knocking noises can be wierd like that.

im gonna weld my spacers to the knuckles tomorrow...so heat her up to red hot ish then weld as usual?
i dont understand the slow cool thing, should i keep them hot after i weld then just bury them in sand for a while?
or keep turning the heat on the torch down which seems like it would take a real long time

I've heard of people just burying them in sand afterwards and letting them cool in there for a while. I've also heard of people that once finished welding, will run the torch over everything every couple of minutes, each time less and less time is spent putting the flame on metal.
I'm personally just gunna get them somewhat glowing, burn everything home, bury them in sand and take them out the next day.

yeah that's exactly what i've heard and said to do earlier. all my stuff is set to go. i even have the go-fer-it inserts
