I made some nice progress again yesterday. Got alot of stuff out of the driveway. I took the hubs back apart on the D44 because I need to match up a clip that was missing and the new ones to big. I then ripped apart the D60 I picked up and luckily I have my old one because the front was from a dually and the Budd hubs need to be replaced with my old ones.

very nice :) I cleaned up my 44's housing real good with a wire wheel and flap disc. Got the backing plates for the rear discs mounted up, and went and spent a bunch on new grade 8 hardware for everything...

tailpipe removed!! damn thing didnt want to come out of the back of the muffler. had to show it the sawzall and torch, then it just jumped out and ran away.

Ive had the D60/10.25 axles sitting in the bed since me and Colin picked them up because I dont really have a place for them but I found working on the tailgate to be the right height. The only suck part was the first hub the po had stripped one of the screws so that had to be drilled and then I found my bearing nut tool missing for that size, luckily father-in-law runs a garage down the street out of his house. Now I'm just waiting for the new hose for my sandblaster and I'll throw the axle in.

That truck would look retarded with stock tires. I am however going to get 33s for long hauls plus do you what a pain it is to change tires on that thing in my driveway.

If I get 33s along with the gear change and Im changing the tranny it should be fine. The only real problem it had was take off and long highway not to mention its current tranny is shot and well used.

I heard the sweet purr of my 460 on Sunday but was short lived due to needing all new fuel hoses which I now have. I'm hoping to have it going this week and I'll get a sound bite if I can. I actually want to back it out and spin the tires because I need to break free the rear axles brakes and I want too.

ya lol i will but ask billy he was looking at my jeep yesterday its so bad i dont wanna wheel it too much anymore my floor has slit off the rot spots and near the leaf spring boxes doesnt look healthy

So when do you think you'll have cash for the box? I need to sell off my spare crap to fund my HP44 build...

I can probably hold onto it for a week or two longer.

Why the F*ck is my engine knocking?

Just started today, I can hear it inside with windows and everything shut. Seams to be coming from front of the engine. Varies with RPM, and it is not always there. It will be knocking, then it will go quiet for a couple seconds, then it will return.

Its got me somewhat nervous.
