THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

thanks. i'm considering doing the clutch while i'm in there, since i dont want to have to take it out again in 10K miles for a new clutch. i'm going to take a close look at the clutch to see the shape it's on. i might make a work party out of it the day of getting the new one in. i'm shooting to have it ready to get in either this weekend or next weekened, and it'll most likely end up being next weekend realistically, especially if i'm doing the clutch as well

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah. you might as well though...cause regardless of whether or not it looks to be in good shape, its not all that difficult to do at all, just need a torque wrench heh. otherwise really straight forward...and worth it for the peace of mind IMO

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

kyle, just do the clutch now :twak: but glad you got the old one out ;) i consumed more than my fair share of adult beverages this weekend. so did jenn... bed time. boo school.

sean, you're bringing that to the umass show, right?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I would, but I will be a few states south at the comp friday and saturday

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh ya, I spent most of yesterday out on the boat cruising around and stopping at beaches with 2 friends. It was absolutely beautiful yesterday, 80 degrees and no clouds in the sky.

I was exhausted so I passed out early last night.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Kyle - you've waited this long for tranny dont not put a new clutch in while its out. You've seen what a pain taking the tranny out was do you really want to do it again along with cutting your exhaust again. Your clutch is gonna get a workout wheelin so just do it. It very simple and the new clutch will come with an alignment tool.

Mark - I got a great set of tires sitting here with you name on them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah i'm going to go to napa this afternoon to pick up a clutch. the only reason last night i was even considering not doing it while its out is because i was exhausted and didn't want to think of more work

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Its not more work because you already have to did it. Only now your putting in new parts instead of old plus would you have the alignment tool?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it was in response to mark's post...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Me and Colin were talkin about these the other day. He told me about the boat one and I told him about the pants one. Plus theres the Box one, which amazingly won an Emmy.

Hey Colin did you see the pic of the block?

Haha yeah I remember talking about that. Those videos are great.

Yeah that's friggin insane dude. Right near the exhaust manifold, so no wonder we couldn't see it. I'm surprised it even half started lol.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah no wonder it was loud but looking in the whole nothing looks wrong but I didnt turn the motor to see.

I made alot of progress this weekend too. 2 XJs gone, the 99' almost completely stripped, the 78 Ford is running and the drivetrain is lined up for the buggies as is the frontend put together. The buggy now rolls!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, this is the new jeep. i was looking for a comanche or another cherokee, but as soon as my dad saw this, he just had to have it.

1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
-360 V8 with Edelbrock 600 CFM performer
-78k miles
-Auto, 4x4
-Dana 44's F&R with 2.72's
-All new brakes, im talking all lines, hoses, shoes, drums, hardware, pads, rotors, calipers
-Recent tune-up stuff, runs damn good, carb needs a little tweaking
-All lines and emissions stuff are all there in great shape
-Body doesnt have any rust, solid floors, underneath jsut has some surface rust here and there, one spot on the rear frame might need a little patch, no biggie
-LOADED OPTIONS!! PS, PB, AC, power windows, power locks, power seats, power mirriors, tilt wheel, and pretty much everything else it could have (all work)

We're thinking of maybe doing a couple of things to toughen it up. the springs and shocks are tired, so it may get some 2"-3" leafs and shocks and some 30's or 31's. the exhaust seems pretty recent, but its the wrong tailpipe and it hits the frame and the trackbar mount on the rear axle. the pipe is all crimed in, solution to this is some new dual exhaust and a flowmaster.
