THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i love me some Big Red.

i'd take anything tho. I want one to fix up

that's what I figured. I'll see what he's got, what he wants to get rid of, and for how much. I can't see him wanting hardly anything for the suzuki 185 that I had...I gave it to him, but I dunno if he's since gotten anything for it. I'll get back to you

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

good to my word...now that i'm not blanketing this thread with posts cause i'm leaving work :laugh3:

Anyone good with carbs and timing and such? I'm about to buy a cheap tach and borrow a timing light but if there's someone that know what they're doing that could help that'd be awesome. I got the honcho moving and it doesn't die immediately but i'm pretty confident it's a timing and carb issue combined and I somewhat know what i'm doing but help would be nice.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so my friend had to leave so the tranny isn't completely out yet. everything is disconnected, bolts out, all that shit. he had to hustle hustle out though so there wasn't time for us to wrestle with the tranny to pull it out of hte engine, since it's being a bit stubborn. it took forever to get the crossmember bolts out of the passenger side, which is why we didnt have time to wrestle with the tranny.

those E12 bolts were a piece of cake! 3 feet of extensions and a good crank and they broke free easily! wh000t

it'll have to wait unfortunately to finish up, but i dont even have a tranny to replace it with now so oh well

also managed to strip colin's 44 and grind out the stock shafts for full circle clips. it took us a little bit to remember how to work on traditional bearing setups and all, damn jeep stuff is nothing compared to this. the chop saw made super easy awesome work of the shafts.

Motorcraft 2150, I'm pretty sure the timing has alot to do with it. It goes into drive but runs like crap in drive. I have alot of info on tuning it but i'll research some more before I take another crack at it. I also want to make sure everything else it good like vacuum lines and all that before.

This is NOT how my Honcho's vacuum routing looks.
