I picked up a 93 4dr xj last night. I was originally picking it up for the motor & harness but the body is so rust/rot free I'm contemplating doing a quick build cherokee with parts I have laying around.

so according to Mr. N, instead of 67" like Cruzin Illusion's build states, a stock f150 d44 is around 65", which would be wonderful... I'm gonna have to check on this when I get out of work today... innnteresting.

That's actually super depressing, because my 93 DD is a rotbox but the drivetrain is good and everything...ONLY problem is rot :-\
...how much for the shell? and before it happens... NO, no one is allowed to ask where i'd find the time to do this :laugh3:

No pics yet. Ive barely seen it myself. I got there alittle late so it was dark. Marty talked to the guy while I loaded it on the trailer in record time. In the dark though I ran my hands along the rockers and behind the rear tires nothing but smooth, even the doors. Its got a nice set of seats in it too. It has light frontend damage but I have all the pieces to fix it. I'll take a better look when I get home and figure it out.

For what, the next year before the seats are no longer a part of it? haha... something's gotta change, that poor Jeep... runs mint, but rusts and rots like it's its job

I actually already offered the body to someone figuring I was gonna take just my parts and go but I might keep it.

Gotcha. Yeah, i dunno... If the big jeep turns out to be halfway streetable, I might part out the little guy and drive the big one for awhile, keeping an eye out for a not-rotted DD... We'll see, not in any rush or anything.

Me too heh. But, if you just threw an inverted T on there for now, you wouldn't be out much if any time and/or money, and you can just do the high steer whenever, no??

gotta buy the new wheels, alloys for the rear.
