THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ehh, idk about by sunday. maybe on sunday though. but, even then, i'd like to take some measurements before those come off for referencing things

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

speaking of which, bring your calipers :) I can use my dad's, but digital is sooo much more lazy friendly :D heheh

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I seeeee youuuu bill ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and Jim, for that matter. haha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill says time for a rear axle hunt. I don't like that idea. lol
Yes you do.
14B and 40's and 609 front.
Not that crazy. I just didn't like the idea of him running 2.5-3.0" spacers in the rear.
Yeah. well, I ought to have the axle bare before Sunday, so if you want we can look at some possibilities then...
You should have had it done by today darn it. What happened to weeknights? :twak:
yeah. inner C's off too?
Now I think you are asking to much of the poor kid. :laugh3:
who wants to crunch numbazzzzz with meee? lol.
As Anthony said, it ain't hard. Still at your desk with a pad and paper and you can figure it out in 15min.

True vernier FTW.
I seeeee youuuu bill ;)
Creepy. ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can read the non-digitals, but the verniers take me a second. i like dial calipers, but not true vernier...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and, i'll have you know my digital is not junk. it's the best company out there for digital stuff. it's mitutoyo.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

x2 i like my true verniers. although if i had a *good* dial caliper i'd probably use that, but not those $15 junk ones that have like .005 resolution

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yes you do.

no, I don't. haha. that axle is DONE, I need not one thing for it... why would I want to jump into yet ANOTHER area? No. not now...

Not that crazy. I just didn't like the idea of him running 2.5-3.0" spacers in the rear.

I don't want to use anything that wide either. 2" is even kind of iffy to me, I would be fine with doing 1.25" for sure, though. 2" I guess is a possibility, but I'd prefer not to have em that wide.

You should have had it done by today darn it. What happened to weeknights? :twak:

Mia's damn family events are what happened :phone::thumbdn:

Now I think you are asking to much of the poor kid. :laugh3:

yeah, possibly. But I think that could be a good thing, someone other than you has got to get on my ass about actually doin stuff :D

As Anthony said, it ain't hard. Still at your desk with a pad and paper and you can figure it out in 15min.

The forum is my pad n paper ;)

True vernier FTW.

Yep, my dad's got I don't even know how many throughout the basement, I have no idea why lol

indeed. :eyes:

Dials would probably be my favorite as well, but I still think it is necessary to know how to read the older stuff. Not so old as a slide rule, but you know what I mean. It irritates me when you hand someone a vernier or micrometer (or even dial caliper for that matter) and they turn to you and say "I can only read/use the digital ones". If you don't know how to read one, just tell me that, I'll show you I don't mind.

"Digital junk" was refering to the digital in general.
Starrett FTW. Although my drop base and indicators are Mitutoyo.

On that note, I'm off to rid the ABS junk so I can work on the upper shock mounts for the front.

What? Am I the only one that doesn't like the digital junk?
What I also think is kinda pathetic is people that can't read a non-digital micrometer.

Thanks to Dad, I was reading verniers at something like the age of 3 :sunshine:

Yup. that is how I learned.
"You can read that ruler? Good. Now use this and tell me what size it is."

Yes, I am. It is. Now I really am going to rid that ABS junk.
Hm...

To go high steer or not to go high steer...

That is the question...
I think the real question is TREs or rod ends.
High steer only adds the cost of the arms in your case right? Call/text me... I won't be reading this I'm heading down stairs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gonna do the chevy knuckles or retain all your ford stuff with the dedenbears?

No idea yet. I'll have to get the axle to my house next week and figure it all out.

If all the ford stuff is still in good shape, then I really do want to keep it all. If I had to get all new stuff to use the chevy knuckles anyway, then why not just get aftermarkets.
