THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm being more and more interested in the new goodyear MTRs with the kevlar sidewalls for when I bump it up to 33s. there's not much info about them yet but as i read more they seem more and more what i'm looking for. kevlar sidewalls are a good thing for me too, seeing how i've had 5 sidwalls cut by unnamed vandals in the past month too

seeing nhrockers new MTR's im very impressed, cant wait to see how they work on the trails

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm halfway there Ross. Doing the f-ing steering box by yourself isn't the easiest thing. Taking it all apart is a sinch, I had the old box out in about 10 minutes. Putting it back up and in alone = f-ing pain in the ass. I somehow managed to have the upper hose with the 90* bend long hard line go through a hole in the bottom of the inner fender, and wedge itself in there. I couldn't get it out.

Well, it was nice to not break any steering box bolts. As it sits, 2 bolts are back in, and I can't get the 3rd to go in. Stuff just isn't lining up. I am going to have a great time getting the old pitman arm from the new (used) box off. Hopefully it will be driving tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that's good cuz i wasn't about to change my ways :moon:

that's pretty sweet. but huge. i'm hoping mitch doesn't get unruly large, but he's already big enough to scare a fair number of people.

I know you wouldnt!

The last time I went to the vet with him, before I gave him to a shop who still displays him, he was measure at almost 14ft but he had been sick. The funny thing is I brought him in and sat in a seat with draped across my lap a couple times. Well the lady at the counter asked me if I had a blanket to cover him in case people coming in might be scared. My girlfriend at the time went out, got it and covered him, which is good because he stops wanting to look around covered up. Anyway this cute little blonde comes in with this big construction worker looking dude and he's carrying their new pupy. He sees the blanket moving and asks me if theres a snake under it. I say yes and thinking he wants to see it, pulled back the blanket to show him and of course the snake sticks his head right out to look around and no sooner does that happen then the guy turns white, drops the puppy and falls back against the front door which is glass and almost takes it out. He regained himself and told his girlfriend he'd be outside waiting and didnt even give the puppy a second thought. The blonde on the other hand was pissed and called him a couple nice names.

yeah i'm definately leaning towards those now. they're suprisingly reasonably priced too for what you'd expect - discount tire has the 33x12.5x15 for $216 with free shipping, and tirerack has them for $193 each

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark- zipties work to hold the box and a bench vise to hold the box while taking the pitman arm off or I actually wedged the box under my front tire one time. You still want those tires? I just picked up a 93 4dr XJ tonight, Im not sure of the condition of those tires though but it has awesome seats Ive never seen before.

got into a cleaning frenzy today with the blue jeep, washed the outside then cleaned the interior, murphys oil and hot water works awsome on the dash and center console, looks almost new, also finally clened the inside of the windshield, there was still mud on there from the toy drive

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And if you'll be around, from about 330 to 6 I'll be working on the Jeep if you'd like to come by.
