Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Is it just me or does it look like that girls in a bikini with snow on the ground. Crazy chics.

Anthony, Alloy USA is out but someone picked up the slack and warranties for awhile. If you want I have the name somewhere.

Travis, just use your fan blade to cut steak, its like a meat slicer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

factory ten or ten factory is warrantying alloy use stuff

i think its omix adda or sumthin like that that now sells the equivalent alloy usa stuff

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

alloy usa has been gone since something like december iirc, and i believe the company who took em over was ten factory. they don't make d44 front shafts yet, but I think I'll be going with Nitro, another new but promising manufacturer... we'll see, time will tell :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah Omix doesnt want anything to do with warranty issues though. This is a post from awhile back from Ron who used to be at Alloy and is now at MotiveGear.

Pardon my seeming ignorance on this, but do I understand this means Motive is now selling their own version of high strength alloy axles??

Yes - the parent company is Midwest Truck and Auto Parts, which is 60 years old, and the division I'm working with is Motive Gear. 2/3 of the Alloy tech and sales staff is here with me as well. The brand name on the axles, axle kits and components will be TEN Factory. We are just now rolling this out as it came together rather quickly, but we already have some distributors with product.

This is a top notch company that I have known since they started the Motive Gear division in '84. I worked for them in the 90's, and we remained friendly and did a lot of business together. In fact many of the performance ring and pinion applications in our Precision Gear line were repackaged Motive Gears'. They are behind this project 100% as this shows:

We will honor Alloy USA warranty claims.

Details are being worked out, but original receipt is required and product will need to be returned. One of the details we must work out is a cut-off date. There will be a point where someone will be using the Alloy brand name on some product - we obviously won't be able to warranty that product. Until we get the procedures worked out, please PM me or email [email protected] if you have what you feel is a warranty claim. I'll work through it with you.

We're the same people with the same good product - new name, new logo, new address.

Regards,

Ron

xj44 with 4.88s aussie superior evo's, 8.8 discs and SOLID cover... I'd rather not ditch it for a 60 just for the sake of going 8 lug :laugh3: just a littttle bit of money tied up already, ya know?
No, I don't. Those 36" SXs are the limit if you actually wheel it hard, IMO.
Whether or not I'd personally do another rear D60FF (over another axle, like a 14bFF) would depend if I got it for next to nothing again. It sure was a lot of work to get it "up to par".
unfortunately I'm not a newbie to grinding off wedgies, they're quite the pain in the a$$...
I'm so glad I won't be doing that again for a long time (if ever).
kyle, stop buying stuff at HF and your issues will go away.
X2.

buy this jeep mark, you know you like it as much as the owner(and i'm not referring to the chick either):D:D:D
I wouldn't drive that via remote control let alone behind the steering wheel.

Where the heck have you been the last few months?
For custom shafts I'd go with Dutchman or TEN Factory.
All a matter of personal opinion now really.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just went to true value and cleared out their Grade 8 inventory of 2"x1/2" bolts, 1/2" nuts, 1/2" loc washers, and 7/16" washers. I love that place, they always got what i want, hell theyll probably have everything refilled by thursday

if i was to go 1 tons i think is do a 70 rear, ya already got the 35 spline shafts and theres very little ground clearance loss over a 60

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

is it wrong that even though i already have alloys in my 8.25, that i wanna buy another set just because theyre brand new and less then half the price?
