Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
1972 Chevy Nova
Spent a better part of the 90's as a DD for some local kids through high school and such. last owner blew the original 307, got a 350 that had been passed around that every person added something to. was suffering from bein drivin hard, rotted inner and outer rear wheelwells, rockers had some holes, had been slightly backed into a telephone pole, and other things. we bought it thinkin it had a seized engine, turned out the starter bendix broke in half and wedged itself against the flywheel. bought a new starter and got it running and driving. tnickered and fooled around with what was there, put like no money into it and drove it around here and there. when i graduated from wyotech, my dad surprised me by having the bodywork done and painted. since then, i put a new holley 600 carb and mallory HEI dist on, every bushing and bearing in the front end was replaced, new spindles and hipo rotors and pads, new carpet, new headliner, new dash bezel, any all sorts of other odds n ends. not a full resto, i enjoy driving it and having fun with it, as money and time allows i add and redo more things to it. next big project is swapping in a TCI TH350 streetfighter rated for 450-500HP, 2600 rpm stall convertor, new rated flexplate, and a B&M quicksilver shifter to replace the failin column shifter. after that, when $$$ allows itll be a new engine
