THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah then when i goto get it inspected and it dosnt even connect to the computer i cant get a sticker...... i dont care about the light or anything to do with it. all i want is a good sticker :eye:.... if all the inspector needed to see was no light i would smash the dash just to get rid of the light............

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ahhh, thatll suck too. double check all the connections right there. all it takes it that one perfect swing with ur foot to knock shuff all outta wack.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

awesome, just found out today is my last day here. and didn't get a good reason but was told i'm not being fired.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

They failed my red Jeep when I went to get in inspected because I had just put a new battery in it. Since the battery had been disconnected, the computer purged its data, and then when it was connected to the computer, it automatically failed emmisions.

I waited a couple days, went back, and it passed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

supposedly in MA now you need to be inspected every year for emissions and they do that by just plugging in ODBII and seeing if there are any emissions diagnostic codes. that defeats teh purpose unfortunately of just killing the light. its also why 95 and earlier vehicles are exempt from emissions testing now

i was a manufacturing engineer and we designed and manufactured periscopes almost entirely in house. 4-500 person company owned by danaher. just stupid that i had no warning at all. part time worker, full time student... wouldn't have spent about a grand on jeep parts a week and a half ago if i knew this was going to happen. now i'm worried about making it through the end of the semester, nevermind getting the jeep ready for nacfest.

That blows, I am sorry to hear about your job loss. Was this a co-op type of position or did you find this job on your own?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got a 01' XJ drivetrain with low low miles on it for my buggy and decided to just save the motor for my 00' XJ DD just in case because I didnt want to deal with the OBD II on it. Im not worried about inspection but just the hassle and occassional shutdown and run crappy codes I dont want to deal with. Im gonna use a 93-95 motor and it wil work better with my fuel cell too.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that sucks anthony. hey at least you've got $30 coming your way from those control arms you sold me, i got them this afternoon from your dad. did they know you were going somewhere else after graduating though? that might have somethign to do with it if they knew you weren't in it for the long haul.

thaaaanks for the tires bob, i'm going to toss them on tomorrow after work

i was technically a co-op there, but not a co-op in the sense that i was taking time off of school to work there. basically it was a "temporary" employee. i was introduced to the company at a job fair at my school, but that was the only part of my school's involvement in me getting the job.

i have another job waiting for me after i graduate and that's cool. just means the next couple months are gonna blow.

yeah they did know i was going somewhere else after graduation. yeah i dunno. you'd think they'd give me like a week's notice to finish up stuff i was working on. i had like an hour's notice. but it was pushed that i wasn't being fired...

crappy all around. oh well. worse has happened. i'm just thankful i don't have anyone to support.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey well if theyre very pushy that you werent fired you can collect unemployment, as if you are fired you dont get a dime

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it was so nice out today, i actually washed the jeep, hell i even used some soap. only problem with my jeep is that when its clean, you can see the like 5 or 6 different color blacks on it.

if it is equally nice out tomorrow, im gunna attempt to start the nova and take it for a drive. its always cranky the first few times in the spring. might be time to start thinkin about a new engine

sat im waxing the Jeep so it looks pretty for Sun.
