oh well. i measured adam's coils, and it looks like they are in fact RE 4.5s because they measured at 20 1/8" and have 12 coils. bill's are 20 1/4"... so yeah. they're going in tomorrow an my jeep is coming apart.

getting the 33" claws dismounted tomorow, hopefully they will sell soon, if not i may not beable to do the axle swap next weekend, i hate running things close, it be nice to beable to drive it around a bit and getting used to the locker instead of the first drive being all the way to ma

I also did the chalk line test.

The tire started wearing evenly at ~17 PSI.

Talk about ridiculous sidewalls. Had a hell of a time getting them on/off the wheels with Adam and my other buddy at his shop.

Free length on brand new RE 4.5" XJ coils is 21.25"

what size wrench is commonly used for 3/4-16 threads? i measured the nut that i have and it came out at 1.096 and my 1 1/8 socket measures 1.144... i want to buy the right wrench for it rather than continuing to have to use an adjustable like i have been on my trac bar jam nut.:farmer: the amount of slop there is around the nut in my 1 1/8 socket is kind of unnerving so i was thinking the 1 1/16 would be more correct.

Don't know what scale you measure on but, wouldn't a 1-1/8" socket be 1.125"? You measured closer to 1-9/64". :dunce:
My 3/4-16 jam nuts from Mike measure just a hair under 1-1/8" and work great with that sized wrench.
