THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm pulling the trigger. i've needed new shocks, this is kind of the deal i've been waiting for.

go for it, like ross said, if there to long then go through the floor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

argh the damn security code rubbed off the back of my card. edlebrock's site denied it 3 times and says i've exceeded the max limit of tries. try again later. gonna use jenn's computer and put it on the credit card.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if the 3-4.5" ones are too short for the rear, i could always move the mounts up some more... right? i dunno, i think they'll be good. i flexed out my rear the other night on a snow pile and it was good. although, i don't think i got full droop in the rear cuz of my mad leaf flex

For the front, just cut away the shock mount section on the axle spring pads and plate it in, then weld tabs onto the LCA mount. That is what I did on the MJ, and its working very well. I am able to easily run a 12" travel shock on 6" of lift.

For the rear, on my XJ I am planning on running 12" travel shocks and going up through the floor. I am going to cut out the existing shock mount area and just go straight up through. Not sure how I am going to do the upper shock mount yet, I'll figure it out once I get the rear springs where I want them and line it all up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i ordered the 3-4.5" ones and i have relocated rear mounts, 4.5" lift deaver leafs that are long, and 2" lift shackles.... so it sits at about 5-5.5" with 3" short shock mounts... here are my shock mounts on my axle. (excuse the piss poor welding, it was my 1st attempt at creating anything structural and they haven't broken off yet :gee:)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, I got my Superior shafts last night for the rear 44, still waiting on the carrier for the front 44.

In bigger and better news, I'm getting (5) 90% tread 36x12.50x15 SXs from a buddy of mine in Deepwoods, along with the beadlocks xjbump has for sale here with the 39.5 Iroks. My buddy with the SXs is stepping up to the Iroks, and I'm buying his tires/taking the beadlocks. Should be a pretty awesome setup. I'm pumped. :D

Also, this weekend I'm pulling the stock shafts out of the rear 44 and trading those, my spool, and yukon 4.56s for a NIB aussie from Jon on here (redneckboarder) to be used in the front 44...

All I have left to get to have the Jeep up and running now is a passenger side flat top knuckle (EVERYONE LOOK FOR ONE!!), and gears/install kit for the front. Otherwise I believe I've got everything :D I'm just gonna get the Jeep back together for now, wheel it, and in the meantime save up the extra cash for a lot of tubing, then once I get that I'll chop the Jeep, I'm guessing mid-late summer...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

lol don't worry about it man.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

HEY!!! wtf, when I bought my aussie, I ain't get no stickers!! God damn it. well, at least the thing works well. haha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those are the perfect bumpstops mark.

btw, I have no idea if this means I'll be wheeling at NACfest, though I will try my best. I would need to figure out how much it will cost me to get there, stay there, wheel there, etc etc. Also would need to get the time off of work, which isn't so easy here, despite the fact that I do nothing. :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you should go to nacfest, comon! i dont think i'll be able to, since even if i do get the jeep all set i don't want to have it break again all the way down in PA. i would like to maybe just go along for the ride. that would turn a $1k + trip (if you include all the broken stuff) to maybe a hundred or so for beer and camping
