Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my favorite part about ESPN last night was when they showed the computer model of him crashing about 14 different times, especially since it was also on the big screen in LV too, what a way to build his confidence

that and Pastrana's shameless Red Bull plugs, gotta love sponsors

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey, if RED BULL wants to sponsor RED BULL me, I'd be happy RED BULL to say their RED BULL name just about RED BULL every other word...

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It really was. I don't know what else to say about it, totally ridiculous haha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright so I got bored and screwed around in SolidWorks for a little. What do you guys think of this. Its going to be having a tire carrier on top, but that design is a secret for now.

I was thinking about having some recessed blinkers, and some of those euro rear red fogs that come on audi and saabs, etc.

Edit: very rough sketch, got bored.

That looks really good!
What are the plans for the mounts?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

duct tape.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

pshhh, Scotch tape.

Bill, as for the mounts, I'm thinking using stock mounts, a few more on the cross member perhaps, and maybe putting some attachments under the frame rail. I'm a little hesitant to remove my hitch cause its held up to so much pulling and everything, I just have a feeling that by me re-installing it, the next recovery pull I go to make it will go flying off. I'd rather be able to blame the place that installed it. (4 or 5ish years on now, and no problems, not even when I was being recovered by two TJ's on 36's fully locked, etc. There was two became one couldn't pull me out by itself, stupid quicksand)

I will say, the whole rear will be getting a make over. I already have the quarter panel guards that will be integrated into the whole deal, and the bumper won't be used for recovery, only for bumping purposes and tire carrying.

What happened to staples in double shear???

Shhhh, you're giving away my secrets.

Damn, all I've been thinking about for the past couple days is the bumper. But I need money for supplies, and I don't have a welder, I need to learn MIG, TIGs are just too expensive.
Its going to looks sexy, with so much extras. I'll have absolutely no need what so ever for half the stuff, but I like it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Do I have a problem if I frequently think about modifications to Jeeps, such as rear bumpers, making an XJ convertible (I already have a plan for that), modifying my front ARB bumper to have recessed IPF lights, making some sexy wiring harnesses for aftermarket lights etc, with cool switch panels, and what I plan on working on this spring, Projector headlights?

Obviously this is for cut rear quarters but i still think that IMO for a bumper to look good there shouldn't be any dead space between the tail lights and the bumper!

I have the exact same problem as i think all of us do. maybe not the exact same problem but i once heard an addage.

"He who modifies JEEP is never done!"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
