As for the return system. Why not convert to an older fuel rail? That would get you the return system you need and it would all be bolt in parts from a donor XJ. You'll need to do your own plumbing for the cell anyway, so you could just run a return from the rail while you're at it.
I actually was originally looking at the opposite, swapping in the '99 rail and injectors I had left from my intake swap and converting to a later style plastic tank dropped through the floor. Ended up just saying screw it and ordered my 25 gallon cell.

Still not sure about the 18th. I just "temporarily" mounted it. Granted my temporary mount is probably better than most people's permanent mounts... I do still need to make some straps for it (currently is only bolted down using the tabs on the corners of the cell). The pump I'm using is making more noise than I think it should be as well, but it is running. Drove it a few miles the other day with no problems.X2, If it is I'll have to pick your brain on the details.

Alright so I got bored and screwed around in SolidWorks for a little. What do you guys think of this. Its going to be having a tire carrier on top, but that design is a secret for now.
I was thinking about having some recessed blinkers, and some of those euro rear red fogs that come on audi and saabs, etc.
Edit: very rough sketch, got bored.
