i've always been a big fan of carrier bearings when cross members get in the way, but thats an expensive route and could really make the ds angle hell

Mark, there is a set of wheels and tires from my parts Jeep. They're the darker Ecco's with 4 decent tires. Rims are nearly perfect. The only thing is they're not mine, they're Carmelo's. I'll see how much he wants for them.

I know, it's pretty amazing. They ordered an extra sub or something, or the person left, whatever. Point is, i got a large italian with everything. YUM!

I'm starting to wish that I had done this.

I'm starting to find little things that I hadn't seen up there. Like the steering box moves when you have someone turn the wheel side to side.

So I was working on the Jeep. I took the throttle body off and sprayed it down with some carb and choke cleaner. I then took out one of the spark plugs, but never fully put it back in. I ended up getting the Jeep to start on 5 cylinders, and idle for a second before I realized I left off a plug. Put it all back together and got it to idle perfectly fine for a couple minutes, then it died. turned it back on and it ran, I was able to move it, and I was going to pour seafoam in it, but it says do it with a warm engine. so I started giving it gas to warm it up, and then it now won't restart.

I did hear a clicking from a relay in the engine compartment, the fuel pump relay to be exact.

Only back upstairs for a minute, needed to grab a calculator and was checking the weather and somehow I ended up here. ;)

Anyway like I said... good luck with it! Seriously, I mean it.
I couldn't understand why the relay was clicking on/off either, I had forgotten that last night when I found out you bought it. I found the list of things I wrote down about that Jeep, but you probably don't want to see that. :(

So it cranks just won't start... NSS alright? Moving it around could have dislodged some gunk in there... Peter had it parked for months.
Take a multimeter and check that #7/C and #8/B are closed. Everything else should be open. If not, disconnect the plug and jump the connection and she should start right up.

Anyway, I'm going back to work on the brackets. I'll check back on this later and see if I can add any useless insight. :D

I'm going to switch over the throttle body from the 4 door, see if that will eliminates anything.

It ran fine while cold. So I'm trying to understand that.

Alright, I'm not seeing any spark.

Also, Bill, NSS would mean no cranking.

DUH! Me = :twak:
I can't believe I typed the above anyway, my NSS is messed (well now cleaned and waiting reinstall) and I had to jump mine to get it in the garage.

Yup... looks like you where right. Hopefully that solves almost all the issues.

So I'm about to run to autozone and pick up new plugs (they didn't look extremely healthy), wires, and distributor cap.

We tried spraying starting fluid in the intake, and it wouldn't start, and I pulled 2 plugs and touched them to the block, and no spark.

I'm thinking it might be the CPS, this would give intermittent problems right?

well that was easy. the bolt came out of the steering box pretty easy, i was even able to leave the whole thing in the jeep.

Pipe wrench FTW. not for plumbers any more!!
