THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its gonna work out to like $500ish per person, were goin to the chic chocs in canada...annd your probly gonna want a splitboard for hiking up the mountains so start saving for your gear

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I got this set of H1 beadlocks so i'm thinking about going with DRW 1 tons and I'll still have the same width as I was shooting for before. It would definitely be cheaper to get DRW 1 tons since they're less desirable and I'm all for cheap.

i know where you can get one

wow, thats cheappp. I don't think I'm a good enough rider to justify a trip like that yet though. I'll ride with ya this year and you can critique me and see if I'm up for the task :hang:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

we should do a NAC snowboard trip or two this winter!! i'm going to try to go as much as possible to make up lost time from last winter. And i'm definately doing tuckermans ravine, no friggin doubt!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dont think snowboard skill will have as much effect as are you in shape to hike a crapload to get amazzzziiiinnnng pow

and i plan on tucks in april/mayish, skipped last year cuz of the shatty end of season conditions

and i beleive an NAC snowboard fest will be cool (i can get 16, maybe more free tix to loon if we wanna have it there)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my season pass is for loon, but it is a good mountain that will be awesome for a NAC snow-fest. i would LOVE to go do some awesome backcountry stuff, but i don't know if it's in the budget yet. IFFFF i get a job waiting for me after graduation I can be loose with money, and would really really consider trying to come along. I can't wait for powderrrrrr

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i groom at loon:)

and i can point you in the direction of some decent backcountry in the loon area (powder dependent unfortunatley)

I only recently got into BC and up until now ive been snowshoeing and changing boots at the top which is no fun and Ive heard all the hardocre guys swear by splitbords bu theyre like 1k+for a setup

I did more research and dodge DRW D60s seem to suck all around. Since they have external hubs which have very little aftermarket support and are harder to come by. To change them out for internal hubs I would need all new hubs. Either way you slice it I have to get new hubs. Although $250 is super cheap.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ooh nice loon is fun and real easy to get to from Boston, i'll be going up a bunch. i've heard good things of some glades at loon called the "420 glades" but never got to go last winter again due to the broken shoulder. i like deeeeep pow though!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those glades are pretty sick, you just NEED to have one of the first runs down them or they suck, last yr we had a few nice days where me and my bro hiked up and got first tracks it was epic. but the upside to working on a groomer all night s i get to ride down the mtn at 2am right after a huge pow dump and i was the only person on the mtn...just didnt remember my clear goggles so that was a bit difficult

this was last year in barts

tech question:

when you hear about seperation between the upper and lower links on a 3 link, is that between the upper link and the center line of the axle?

hmmmmm. I want to fix my Jeep. Can't wait til Wednesday!! Know what I did today? I WASHED it!! not very well, but I got the majority of the crap off of it. Also washed the little Jeep and the pickle, someone's coming to look at the little Jeep Wednesday afternoon... hopefully that thing'll be gone soon.

I ain't in the best of shape :confused1

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

but, I'd be very excited for a (FREE!!) day at loon sometime. I hate weekends at Loon though, always so damn busy. Then again, I have class Mon-Thurs, sooo yeah. We'll figure something out though. The only snowboarding I know I'll be doing very consistantly this season is midnight madness at crotched, other than that I'm gonna take it easy this year I think. I need to A) save a bit of money and B) Try to focus on school a little better.
