Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I paid a told of $500 dollars for a fully locked 44 and 60. I'd be looking at atleast a grand for 1 tons. Don't get me wrong though i'm keeping my eye out for a set of CUCV axles. But they won't go in anytime soon.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Billy, I'm planning to get to F&F by around 6 or 7 on Friday hopefully.

And Jon, yup, superiors/CTM's are all assembled, AND both axles are geared :D Had a great time at Bill's house yesterday and got that junk done. Also did his SYE  woohoo!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The newer ones are 35 spline. The only older 60s that were 35 were ford HD ones from what i've been told and they are rare. Just so you know alot of guys have good success with my same setup on 38s. I dont know how I broke it so easy. Alot of FSJ guys run 35s on stock 44s and do okay and I dont think I was beating on it too hard.... Bob, I was going light right? I also busted a front shaft but I saw that coming and i'm not surprised. Same with the front driveshaft it was made of pencil dick meat.

I'm not surprised you broke a rear shaft if they're the same as an XJ44 shaft. I twisted the splines on my pass side stock shaft easy on 35s and an XJ is a lot lighter. I don't know how the hell those guys would think that it could take 38s.

Just out of curiousity, was it the long side?

I'm PLANNING to be at Gretchen's (check your e-mail on that one if you're on the NEA site) by 8ish Friday night but we'll see.

Yeah Travis came up here and we banged out his shafts on Saturday. Then yesterday geared his axles and did Bill's SYE at Bill's house. Was definitely a great time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Isn't Fall Crawl in 2 weeks? Why is everyone making it sound like it this Saturday?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

went to Sam's this morning for a front driveshaft, there was an absolutely beautiful white 96 Classic there - had been loaded, leather seats, power everything, almost no rust at all... clunkered. ONLY 50K FREAKIN MILES ON IT! WHY?! If anyone needs parts, almost everything is still there. The seats and I think the radio are gone, maybe some trim.

the AC even worked! wtf!

:flamemad::twak::gonnablow

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was gonna install my water pump today but i'm MAD LAZY!!! That and I want to get a new inlet tube for the heater core. New radiator hoses would be nice too so no water pump today. I might fix my exhaust today though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I just sat in line for 2 hours at the RMV to change license plates, only to find out that my insurance company gave me the wrong form. FU liberty mutual.

On a good note, my LTC is in.
