THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

spent the whole weekend pretty much outside or in the garage. a million times better working on the jeep in the garage than in the middle of a open field and being 90' away from your tools

This is the one thing keeping me sane. Knowing that one day I can wrench in a garage, not on dirt, and have my tools a couple steps away. Not in a shed in the backyard, not in a bag in the dirt, not rolling down the street, not having to catch every drip of oil on the road, putting wood under EVERYTHING...

Yeah, that's what's killing me about living in the city. Don't even have enough space to store stuff without my GF getting upset about parts laying around haha. But I also have the option of using Patch's shop almost all the time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I walked the swap meet both days. Bought another LS engine I'm gunna use. And now I'm gunna do a turbo on the NoGo. 600wrhp sounds good

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Overpriced junk not so much but decent stuff at decent prices always sells. I grabbed the 5.3 LS for a steal of a price

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I wish I could have came down at least to hang out. I really want to get my 4 link done at some point but I've been trying to finish up my uncles duster first.

yeah I just used 1.5" exhaust tubing. Works fine.

I saw the pics on facebook, looks sweet.

Yeah I was outside pretty much all 3 days (I had Friday off). It was amazing out. This week is supposed to be even better.

Yup that episode was amazing
Hedman has real sharp 90's gonna get 2 more rest will be real easy. Just ran out of time and didn't want to rush it. May run up in a couple weekends and knock out the big sections.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Just finished putting a new-to-me air compressor in the garage. 80 or 100 gallon horizontal tank with an older IR Type T30 2-stage compressor and 5hp Baldor motor. I am super impressed at how quiet it is and how quickly the 2-stage recovers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Got the upper link for the 3 link pretty much done this weekend. Just need to add some more gussests to reinforce the axle side bracket and clean up some welds but its strong enough to drive around on for now. Dont know why but still cant get the hang of vertical welds, they just booger up and look like shit.

Also tried mocking up the boostwerks steering box brace and the long pitman arm nut that slides into the bearing is just the tiniest bit off to the left and wont line up. Gonna take the steering box brace that ross fabbed up with the bumper out and grind down the spacers a little to get the box closer to the frame.

Awesome. Yup once you go 5+ HP 2-stage it is like relearning to use tools all over again. Recovery is awesome but not only that but 175psi stores so much more air than 125psi so draw down to start is better.
Plus that Baldor should last a lifetime in a home shop.
