THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if I was going to use the TRE holes on the knuckles I'd consider doing that ;)

(the high steer arms are already reamed, all I need to do is the pitman arm)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I see you listened to me a couple months back when I said go high steer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, well I've had everything for the high steer since beginning the 44... I was just unsure before NacFest, when I was still hoping to go, if I wanted to buy the Reid knuckles then or if I just wanted to go OTK for awhile and then change it after NacFest.

And on a sidenote, as sad as I was to not be able to go to NacFest at the time, when I look back I think it's a good thing. I'm not rushing things just for the sake of having it together. Like, I would have had a LP44 with stock shafts and 760's, aussies f/r, and probably yukon shafts in the rear. Now I've got a HP44 with superior inners/outers with CTMs and a detroit for the front, and a spool with superior shafts in the rear. Patience is a virtue :)

Hopefully they'll let the $100 ticket for not moving over a lane slide (apparently slowing from 65 to 45 wasn't enough for him). That along with the $50 for an "altered exhaust" (no tailpipe). I'm cool with paying the $35 for modified vehicle height cuz I am 2" over stock including tires. But I think I am gonna bring that law that Ross and Anthony have seen to see if I can squeeze out of everything. Cross your fingers!

i would love to pay $35 for the modified vehicle height and just be done, but you get stuck paying for it 6 years. its a moving violation. another way for insurance to get money out of you. luckily i got off on mine, good luck. and that sucks about not moving over a lane. also the tailpipe. alll B.S probably the same guy that got me and was looking under my hood and looking for cats.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got my summons for my court appearance from when I got pulled over in June. I was looking over it and it says the name of the officer that pulled me over. Apparently on July 28th, he had someone pulled over on 93 and he was in his cruiser and somebody creamed it but I guess he's okay. He was an ass to me so I guess Karma kicked in!

(wheelbase x wheeltrack)/ 2200

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that equation is for an inspection sticker. MA law states you can't have more than 2 inches of suspension modification.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah the magistrate asked me if i fixed the problem, i told him i got a current sticker, (when i got pulled over i had a black R) his response "did you fix the problem" i said no its still lifted. he said well your still going to get pulled over.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that equation is for an inspection sticker. MA law states you can't have more than 2 inches of suspension modification.

The inspection bay uses a set number of inches to the door jam.

the formula allows for legal wheel track modification of 2" over stock for wider wheels ect as long as you have flares or mud flaps. therefore you can lift it higher than the inspection guidelines.

THE JEEP LIVES AGAIN!!!! I did a bunch of figure eights in the parking lot of hte grocery store between cars and the clutches of the ECTED are starting to break in, so not only is the groaning going away and its starting to feel like its supposed to, the locker is working too! It's got that wonderful tire scrubbing action if I go around a tight turn with it on, just like its supposed to!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got back from Stoughton awhile ago picking up those MJ parts. I def. made out. The control arms are worth more then I gave him for everything. I still need to go back and grab the roll bar, brush guard and a 30" spare. Heres the list and everything is pretty much still in boxes. The misc. parts were complete new brake parts/lines F&R, complete cooling hoses/cap for closed system, bushings, aftermrkt steer. stab., factory vac. lines, tons of factory underhood parts. Between this, what the MJ already has and all the parts I have stored this thing is gonna be pretty sweet when I'm done. I'll probably do a massive build weekend. I even got an 8.8 for free the other day. I still cant believe he junked it for a new Ford Escape.

Factory Roll Bar with lights
Tailgate (pretty good shape)
Brush bar with lights
Steel factory gas tank Skid
Gas Tank (still in the box) and new straps and gasket
Hidden Hitch Front Reciever (new - never installed)
Rusty's Trans 1" drop/skid cross member (used 6 mos)
Rusty's Transfer skid (new never installed - goes with above)
Rubicon Express Fixed lower and adjustable upper control arms (3-4" new in the box)
Rubicon Express Drop brackets (new in the box)
RockRatz Rockrails for a short bed (new - never installed)
and misc other related parts.
(new hardware, sway bar and new rubber, filters, all the small parts that get purchased for a build)
