i really wish i coud pull the cover now, but where im at in ny i cant work on it, i dont have any gear oil or rtv and the closest parts store is 15 miles away, this place fing sucks

throws off the computer. speed sensor tells the motor what type of load to expect=fuel control, more load=more fuel, on all 3 systems, renix, obd-1 and obd-2, theres a default to rich mode if certain codes are thrown, such as bad o2 sensor, lost speed sensor input, no signal or faulty signal from various engine sensors, especially coolant temp sensor, and so on. basically anything thats not normal it defaults to running rich so it wont starve the motor for fuel, worse that happens is the milage sucks and mabye some carbon buildup.

oh, and if you were wondering, thats from the dodge/jeep tech manuals i can access through my work, yeah, i work for honda, but curry has other dealerships and we gotta work on all the used crap as well, alldata and mitchells on demand are good reading if your ever bored
