Nope, I literally don't remember this at all. I don't have any scars on my ass so I'm assuming it went ok.
The same one who gave that electrical advise I posted on facebook.
edit: if you're serious about the 4runner, the trans in that is 90% the same as an AW4 if it's an auto and 90% the same as an AX15 if it's a manual. You can't escape.
Oh, and the 96+ ones have the 3.4 if it's a V6 so they don't blow dog dingaling like the 95-down 3VZ-E 3.0 V6s.

My friend who has owned something like 11 land rovers (and currently DDs a disco 2 with a built up 4.6, mantrans, and 35s) agrees, amusingly.I heard. Lame.

i bought the rover, bring the hate. for the money it was a great deal. almost no rust, not even a door ding. motor and trans feel awesome. got it from the original owner, has 119k on it. cant wait to take cool instagram pictures of it and go wheeling on green trails yelling with a british accent.

See, I wouldn't (and really, don't) care, I'm just finding it humorous that you were all "i want money right now, i need to not be dumping money into my jeep, this that and the other thing"....and you go buy a TWENTY YEAR OLD LAND ROVER! it's just hilarious to me. Do you really think it's going to cost less to keep a giant turd around like that? If you can do it, and like it, more power to ya. I just don't see it happening that's all.

I really could give **** all about what any of you think (well, besides ken who besides his badgering actually posted helpful stuff). It is obvious that this truck was cared for and well maintained, it was well under my budget for a new truck, and most of all it's something I wanted. It's not a DD bc I have a work car, and I'm well aware they come with quirks.

My ENTIRE family told me NOT to buy my first XJ. My brother said he knew people that said they leaked like a sieve, had shitty axles or whatever, and my father said he didn't know how to fix them and couldn't learn.
Now my brother drives one and my father contemplated getting one for my mother a few times :laugh:

I didn't buy my truck because I was sick of spending money. I bought it to tow my money pit, fully understanding and accepting that it too would be a money pit.

****ing love ford I was wrong on my axle it is a dana 50 but that's whatever. That job took two hours fighting rust, wet snow and salt crap falling on me. So no complaints, just found out cutting the wheel back and forth with the truck off cause it to shoot power steering fluid out of the pump.
