THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I WANT TO HEAR A TRIP RECAP.

Also, Kate found the whole bear hunt thing SO hilarious for some reason. She was so entertained by it, that I was entertained by her entertainment (?).

She made a list of questions about bear hunting that she wants to ask you next time we see you hahaha.

hahahaha awesome. sounds good! :)

as far as a recap, idk...we left my house on Friday at about 5pm, got to Sturbridge at about 7pm, loaded the 25 barrels by 8pm. We stopped at the Charlton rest area and got McDonalds and a couple Monsters, then drove from there to Fairfield ME. Filled up the truck, I think that was maybe around 1230am. Maybe half an hour later on 95, somewhere like exit 160ish it started snowing. Stopped at a rest area to take a piss and buy way over priced redbull from a vending machine. Got off 95 at Rt 11, not sure what time that was. Filled up again there, I think in Sherman. The next five hours sucked... within 20 miles of being on Rt11 we had the little uphill adventure involving 4-lo and first gear for half a mile on the 9% grade from a stop. At this point, Justin had put his window down to take the quick snapchat video trying to show just how slow we were going and how steep the dumb hill was....and when he went to roll it back up the cable for the window regulator snapped and it was stuck open about 4" :roflmao: I forget how far mileage wise we were on 11 for, but it took about 5 hours at about 20-30mph because it was snowing and I couldn't see the road very well at all. Like to the point that I was using painter's tape all over the dash to dim the brake controller light, the radio, the low fuel light that constantly comes on, etc, to let my eyes adjust better. It was kinda sketchy but worked out fine. Then we got to Fort Kent/the Canadian border at about 7am. Stopped at a gas station for snacks and I let Justin drive from there the last 30 miles or so, and I napped for half an hour. Got to Allagash and spent an hour or hour and a half unloading the barrels, and then back in the truck. In Fort Kent we stopped and had Subway at about 10am, then kicked ass on rt11 on the way back seeing as it wasn't snowing, the truck was empty and there was a bit of pavement showing. Got back to Sherman in about 2.5 hours, half the time it took going the other way the night before. Filled up again, and got on 95S. It started snowing again, something like Augusta or Bangor (I dunno, Justin was paying more attention than me haha) and didn't let up until we were home. I let him drive maybe 70 miles before Kennebunkport til we stopped at the rest area there. Got some pizza and drove the rest of the way back.

We got to Scott's house to drop off the trailer at maybe 9pm....spent an hour trying to get the trailer back in the yard, which was ICE with a few inches of fresh snow on top. So we unhitched it blocking most of the driveway and left it for the night...even unhitched in 4lo the truck still didn't want to go , and I ended up sliding back into the trailer and denting the bumper a bit. Oh well, it's starting to get rusty anyways. Eventually got the truck maneuvered around and out, and we went home. I got home at like 1030pm Saturday I think. Yesterday morning we went back with his jeep, and hooked my truck up to the trailer, and my truck to his poor little jeep with a strap, and about 30 violent yanks later got the trailer in a better spot and we said that's GOOD ENOUGH. ALL DONE. And then I drove to Epping for a family Bday party

It was fun. Was that a good rambling recap for you? :)

There's something about this post that I just don't want to process...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, uh...

I think trying to figure out what the hell you're talking about just made me dumber.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had a two day weekend, but fit four days worth of shit into it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Went to Sunday River over the weekend, they had about 15" of fresh snow Thursday/Friday, so conditions were great. I am very sore today, and I really need to make a point to scoop up a different pair of skis for days like I had this weekend, my current skis just don't cut it in the deep stuff.

NAC ski trip anyone?

your skis don't cut in even with your fat ass on them? unreal.

and yes, i'd love to ski with you
