THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That was a pathetic game.

Figured out most of the fittings I need to get my compressor operational and did an oil change and shit on my truck.

Garage is finally clean enough where I can figure out how I want to organize it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I finally got pictures of my garage.

It's 22 x 22 at the widest, and knocks down to 18ft wide after the little insets on each side. Each inset is about 80" long before it kicks in.

Just an overall shot looking from the garage doors towards the basement door. Shitty thing is I need to be able to keep lawn equipment in here too since we don't have a shed.

This is the corner in front of my MJ. Shows the size of the little inset. I plan on keeping this side mostly clear so I have more room to work. I think I'll end up keeping my toolbox and rolling cart up against the basement wall here. Probably one row of shelving above those for brake clean/glovves/rags and other stupid shit. Gonna junk his workbench since I have no use for it.

I think I'm going to build a workbench the length of the inset on this side. I'll probably make it about 6" deeper than the inset (total of 30" deep) so I can slide a 22' piece of tubing under the bench and have it ride along the wall all the way towards the garage door and not have it in the way of anything. Then I'll put my drill press/bandsaw/lathe up against the basement wall there.

Against the other wall where you can kind of see the ladder, I'm probably going to put a rack for steel and another for wood or something. Probably throw the steel rack on casters or something so I can keep it mobile. Open to ideas there.

This is the basement I finally cleaned out. Kate said I can store as much shit as I want in here as long as I don't setup my carport .

Probably going to throw all of my bolts/wiring/bullshit in here as well as plumb the air compressor out to the garage. Most likely keep the tubing bender and whatnot in here as well just to keep more shit out of the garage.

I think you got some bit chin plans, I'll come over help as needed and drink beer, or just drink beer

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Kate really hates that car port, huh? It would make a pretty decent shed, though. And you already have it. Put down some paver stones inside and it would really clear out a lot of space in the basement/garage. It doesn't need to be done quite as, ahem, elegantly as you did at your parents' house

We got back from Costa Rica late Saturday. Fun trip. Would recommend it to anyone here. Needed 4wd to get to our hotel, saw monkeys, and jumped off a 30+ ft waterfall. Pics/vid to follow sometime within the next couple months.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What about an actual shed or 4x4's cemented into the ground with a roof and 3 sides? Throw some cedar shingles on the side for cheap to pretty it up. You're going to fill the basement/garage way faster than you realize and it's going to be things that don't go well together.

I have plenty of other priorities besides building a shed right now.

And it's really not going to be that bad.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What do you have? A snow blower and lawn mower may bee some rakes. Big whoop you. need some room for a day wheel that shit outside

Put some thought into where you put the compressor. If its in the basement, you'll probably hear it running throughout the house. Sound like that has a way of carrying through the vents all over the house. Consider putting your compressor out in the garage, close to the big garage doors. Many homes have a little corner alcove up near the garage doors that air compressors fit in nicely. Then run the air line to the basement.

Besides, you'll want to "man-cave" the basement eventually, and having that compressor in there is just something that you'll have to move out later.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have forced hot water...no vents at all.

I have 0 space near the garage doors. Maybe like 4" on each side of each door.

All good ideas though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Build some walls around it with plywood, then fill em with great stuff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hit and run right near my house. Dude nailed a telephone pole and GTFO'd. I heard the accident and saw the car. Sander truck radioed it in and cops just came and asked me questions
