THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just 2.

+ to the solenoid (small wire) and + to the motor (big wire).

That's it.

That's what I thought, but I was confused after just looking at a picture of a starter and seeing 3 places for wires to go. Last weekend I looked at rob's jeep for the first time, and I'm pretty sure the starter/solenoid is dead. I'm getting voltage at the two wires, but no crank. There is also like 1 inch or so of exposed wire on the big wire where it goes into the weird solenoid connector, so I'll probably replace that wire harness since I have spares.

I just want to get rid of that thing, then the Briarwood, and take over my dad's Cherokee.

Billy, still have that detours front bumper?

Bummer, I have to be in CT next Saturday, then plans for next Sunday. I haven't seen any of you ****ers in ages.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I go to work yesterday morning - headlights work fine. Come out from work, no headlights. Drive home with my parking lights and fogs.

Investigate - connectors are fine. If i plug the bulb into the stock plug instead of my upgrade harness, bulb works fine.

Oh...what's this?

Well that could be why...it gets more interesting:

So... the power feed wires for my harness got crushed below the battery tray somehow enough to rub the insulation off the wires. The result was looks like it was a fun party as the wires arc welded themselves to my fender and burned the battery and tray. Well that could have gone worse....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

should have the eff too fitty running again this weekend, gonna be brave and drive it to f&f on thurs

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It was in the length of wire in between the battery and the fuse

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm going to solder a bunch of fuses together to form a chain of safety in place of the wires.

Genius!
