I've been halfassed thinking about this all day.
Sadly it seems that H-bodies are not as easy to come by as I thought. In fact, on all of Craigslist and Ebay, searching all 4 H-body variants, I didn't find shit.
A few outdated for-sale threads on enthusiast forums makes it seem like they can be had for $2k in crap shape and $6-8k in good runner V8-ready condition.
Not that I'm gonna do it anytime soon, but that just means I'm gonna keep an eye out if one happens to pop up for a good price. Got plenty of space to store it for a while.
With the right starter car I bet I could do it well for less than $15k. Including the motor.
edit: meh, maybe $20k with tires wheels & paint.

bad enough that both sides need to be repaired. the whole inside of the drivers side frame is also rotted, it looks like it was repaired at some point but its not working

Curious.....what kind of woodchuck do you prefer. I prefer the granny smiths. Pear sucks and should be banned.
