I google shit I see on the road signs and then try and figure out where I am based on that. I thought that's what everyone did.

Well, I thought about doing that, but figured that was too easy.

I wanted to pretend like I just got dropped somewhere and had to deduce where I was. And aside from confusing South Africa with the Midwest (I didn't feel like walking forever down that lonely road to find something, and I figured it kinda looked like Wyoming), I had 'em all within 500 miles. But with 6 points on that last one my score was hardly competitive. :laugh:

Along the same lines as when I started playing Words with Friends, I only played words that I knew, and lost all the time until I said **** it and joined the Qi revolution. Moral victories only count for so much. :dunce:

kinda high mileage but its the same as my xj give or take 500 . figured id buy that and say see ya lata xj. hopefully get 1700-2k for the xj.

i dont wheel anymore.... and dont miss it. i have fourwheelers and snowmobiles for that. i fish now more then anything. i would thow some spacers and 31's on the wj and be done.

Also, the 42RE in those sucks, especially if it hasn't been maintained.

Can't see CL at work, but if it's a Limited, the blend doors fail and it's kind of a pain in the ass to fix.

Tail light harnesses are problematic.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

I believe the WJs all had the 545RFE (but I'm not much of a WJ guy), but it sucks either way. I know quite a number of people who have had issues with them.

Only the 4.7/4.7HO came with the 545RFE. I've heard the opposite and that it's one of the nicest parts of a WJ. Normally when you see a 4.7 WJ in the junkyard, it's because the motor went, not the tranny.

01, 02 wj had 0331 heads on the 6 cyl, but it that's what you get I have all te accessories and complete wiring harness with sensors attached with 34k on all oarts

father in law has an 01 WJ w/ 4.0 auto - the transmission sucks balls...it's the slowest jeep i've ever driven

I personally wouldn't bother with a WJ unless it was a 4.7HO. It's going to be a dog with 31's on it, especially if has 3.55's. Some 4.0's came with the tow package, so there's an off chance it may have 3.73's.

he was mine i think you go a little closer to the first south africa one and the japan one was when i learned its not where you where you make the mark it is were you start. the first one i figured out it was Florida's east coast from the street signs and googled shop names in that area. the second one was i figured it was japan coast from the whales and samurais then saw an english sign for a light housed and googled that and got just a town's name. third one figured out it was on i-8 and got the highway exit number. fourth one i had no clue but it looked like africa and the only country with google street view in africa is south africa and just guessed. and the last one i though was in nevada but i i found the sign googled it and bam south africa

Holy **** do fuel system components add up.

Cell + 4 walbro pickups installed + cell mounting brackets ordered.

Yup. I was pricing out a 32 gallon cell with pickups from Timmay.

I'll continue hating my current cell. :laugh:

My 2.5s/2.0s should be shipping out at the end of this week. I should have them before the following weekend.

I have a 3 day weekend so I'm going to try like hell to bang it out all new shock mounts everywhere.

Interesting. One friend in particular had two of them go in his dad's WJ, they decided to go Ford. At the dealer his dad said hey look they have a nice WJ over there, he goes "did you not learn the first two times" and they left with the Ford...

What goes in the engine? I've heard they commonly have oiling issues especially if not well maintained, but that's about it.
