So I measured my springs (# of free coils, wire diameter, outside diameter, free/compressed lengths) and I come up with a spring rate of 385 lb/in and a sprung weight of ~1200lb per front corner.

About what I figured. I'd guess my rig is right around 5200-5300 lbs.

Why don't you find a CAT scale or a scrap metal/dump scale and get an accurate measurement?

rear shock mounts are done in johnnys jeep, hoping to have exhaust done tomorow, then its just running some brake lines and installing the skid plate, might end up with 14" shocks, the 12's get used up easily, i just gotta racap the bumpers on my jeep and fiberglass the rear quarters where i cut for the 42's

if im reading this right you are going to put fiberglass on something that could potentially touch lots of rocks?

if im reading this right you are going to put fiberglass on something that could potentially touch lots of rocks?

just need to fill in the gap between the wheel well and body, to lazy to weld the sheetmetal together

Realized I should probably get the XJ moving again for NACfest; it's been sitting since before KOH and after changing the crank sensor in March didn't get it to start, it's been on my ignore list.

So I jumped it today and it started after about 15 seconds of cranking, ran fine once the IAC motor unstuck itself, and I'm about to take it on a ~40 mile round trip to my parents' house.

Sweet how's that wrangler going?

I took on another project 94 Cherokee rear pan over the gas tanks and help with a rear bumper. I also got my gas kit for the welder working good ish day
