Like I said on facebook I have your old one from your black XJ now. It's sitting on my porch with various parts missing. All I want is the footage and the bearing caps when you're done with it. $free

The brand new ones I put in at nacfest lasted less than 2000 miles before they had like 1/8" of play in them. I think I might have been better off with the quick-release ones :scared:

mostly interested in a complete axle. i just keep hoping one will pop up

why da eff do you want bearing caps from a totally different axle? They are housing specific. Im sure they will bolt up and might even work, but if the housings are any different then the bearing races will have uneven/****ed up pressure on certain parts.

I can throw in a couple janky unit bearings and a shaft or two to blow up probably too.

I am keeping all the bearing caps from every axle I destroy or scrap and using them to make drawer handles for my kitchen. I'd never put them on another axle, like you said the caps are line bored after being installed and are therefore matched to the housing. Getting them on right way around and not swapping them is important, too.

Wow. My friend Andy just told his friend Bill to find a new transmission crossmember for his YJ so I can throw a new transmission/clutch in for him. Said some guy was selling brand new ones for a good price, turns out it's Jeff doing the selling. Small world.

I think Bill is nuts for fixing the jeep it's going in, it's a horrible rust monster even by my standards, but hey, that's not my call. Frame is *mostly* solid but the tub has giant holes in it.

Friday or any day next week besides Wednesday works, but don't change it on my account. Plus there is a Five Guys opening up near me so there will be plenty of other times to "chat."
