Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Im looking at the locker more and it looks like it locks using the spider gears. not the side gears like I had originally thought. so I dont see why I cant put my stock 35 spline side gears in there and have that work.

never mind. the pins I saw are not the locking mech. they do something else.

well I found 35spline side gears for that locker. problem is their 200$ and Im not totally sure they will work.
If everything they mesh with (housing halves, spider gears, etc) is the same part number both ways, I would assume they will work. If not, you might have an issue (like how you have to change out the carrier as well as the shafts and side gears to convert a 27 spline 8.25 to a 29.)

"Finished" the bumper today, I still need to make the winch fit, and have Colon help me bend some toob up for the sides, then paint it.

I also ended up buying a 4.7 WJ pump, which seems to have made a big difference as I can turn the 35's at idle with one finger now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so I plowed my driveway and then colins. stopped by my work to plow in front of the garage so we can get.the cranes out, nieghbor called my boss while I was there looking for some one to plow is driveway so I did that too. got half way thru it and the tab on the top of the ram that holds the chain to lift the blade snapped off  try to rig something to hold it up but ended up plowing the town roads for 5miles back to my house. gotta weld a new new tab on tomorrow morning and finish up the guys driveway

I bought new, I would never buy a JY pump. Not only do you not know what the PO ran in it, but who knows what kind of contamination could be in there. AgitatedPancake on Mallcrawlin' did that, and it turned into a nightmare trying to flush it all out. I'd rather spend the $$$ for the peace of mind.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll run a JY pump, but only if it came out of something that was in good shape and obviously there for other reasons - rearended, t-boned, etc.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

^ yea this. Plus i feel like the PS pump isn't one of those items that usually fails early or really get touched by the PO - would probably still have factory fluid in it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That sucks Ross! Thanks again for the help.

I kinda wish it broke at your house cause we coulda just welded it back on and it would already be fixed. after looking at it, it was already partly cracked thru for awhile.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I keep forgetting how close to Haverhill you live. I knew I recognized that street from somewhere... used to drive by there damn near every day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you already said too much

also: here have some shakycam videos with incredibly annoying commentary from two dudes who don't know when to shut up

might not be wheeling, but I sure as hell had a blast, and as a bonus I never even left the public roadways :gee:

Chris has seen this road, it's practically paved when it's not under 2-3 feet of snow. It's the same one I generally pretend to be a racecar driver on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was sledding down Comm ave until 3am last night. Best blizzard ever.

Sheep, I was there this morning, I think I was very close to where you were.

wrangler in snow < green jeep in snow.

Harvard ave, every street essentially looked like this with people, made driving a bit harder.
