Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill, you should be very glad you didn't buy that red Jeep.

After driving it on the highway all week without any problems, I had the "sh*t your pants" type of death wobble all day today. I had to pull off the highway a few times.

Even with the C-Rok inner plate, the frame rail around the box was still moving. It was creaking horribly when turning, and it looks like one of the spot welds split right under the box. The trackbar joint on the frame side was shot, that was fun replacing that as the bolt snapped off in the bushing.

The main reason I went was to get my bumper finished up, but I couldn't even do that as the front frame was so messed up on the red Jeep (side of pass rail was dented), that it wouldn't fit right.

Despite pulling out of Ross's driveway with a steering wheel that was now at 3 o'clock, and the smell of burning before I got 100 yards with a cloud of smoke awaiting me under the hood, I didn't have any DW on the way home, until I went over the last bumper crossing the bridge.

well, at least it's getting better. progress is good. is there anything else loose in the front end? i mean, we could hear a tiny clunk still after it was all buttoned up
