THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I love days like today, when I can feel both my ankle and my knee on the same leg aching. Stupid sports injuries.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well, tranny is mostly out, cept that stupid E12 bolt on top. had to go grab one at advanced.
found 3 E14's in my tools tho. wtf.

 shoulda called man, i know RIGHT where mine is...passanger floorboard, my set of E sockets stay all nice and together, cause I hardly ever touch any of them haha...oh well. Glad to hear ya made some progress.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah those E torx bolts SUCK. Good luck man.

So the HP44 is in and took it for a drive last night.

Things to do:
Double check alignment (pulls to the right)
Bleed brakes again and possibly change out MC if thats the case (spongy pedal and weak braking power)

weak braking compared to the WJ swap? maybe you're spoiled! :scottm:

No, weak braking as in the pedal goes to the floor, there is something wrong with the brakes. The brakes he has now on the 44 are meant for a full size Jeep and 1/2 ton pickup, they should provide more braking power than a small SUV.

As I was telling him, I've never had a problem locking up my 110lbs tires with the 44 brakes, or had a soft pedal (with the exception of the rear brakes un-adjusting themselves.)

Yeah I agree, though these calipers are single piston the piston itself is huge. The should be at least equivalent to WJ brakes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

SO> here's my plan>>> I want to have the rest of my chit ordered before the end of June... I want it drivinggggg. You're a lucky bastard, Colin... lol

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

stupid rain and my lack of a garage....
what a waste of a day off.
and next time i need a random tool i cant find, ill be calling you, T.
thanks for da offa!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well the only reason I said that was that it was ironic that you couldn't find it, because it's a VERY rare situation where I actually am able to find a tool quickly and/or know where it is right off the bat

Definitely feel free to call/text and ask, but don't get your hopes up too far :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha! funny also that i could only find three of the same size(of course not the size i need)
aaand, looks like someone removed the tranny before.
a handy dandy little window was cut into the floor right where the bolt is.
easy access!!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha very nice. lazy bastardss, even *I* took the 2 minutes of figuring out the right combination of 3/8 extensions and swivels to get at those things...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i must be hte only one who got those E12 bolts off no problem. i don't think i even used swivels, just enough extensions to reach from behind the tcase, and the play in all the joints of extensions ended up arching it just right
