im completely XXXXed at work. there are 3 sysadmins on this HUUGE (stupid, and unnecessary) conversion project. the dude at the top knows his shit but is already spread way too thin, the kid next in line is pretty good, and the last in line is me. its all nSQL, SQL, databasing, XML, java, etc, and some other proprietary crap etc that i can look at and kind of see what im looking at. the kid in the middle (essentially the real backup sysadmin, even though im also listed as a backup) is putting in his 2 weeks on monday. the guy on top is out for 2 weeks in a month bc he has his first born kid on the way. idk wtf is gonna happen but the shit will hit the fan and i know i'm gonna be cleaning poo off of all the walls for a lot less than i should be getting for putting up with (and actually doing my job) everything here. i need need need to get out.. insanity of job applications will ensue again tonight.

Long XXXXing night that was.

Sat down at blackjack around 10:30, by midnight I was down $325 and joined everyone at the pool bar/club. Ended up talking and dancing with a really hot girl from NYC, at one point pretended to be her boyfriend so these other creepy dudes would quit bothering her (why do I always find myself in that position?), then lost track of her for a little while. At about 3:00 she found me again and gave me her business card (apparently she's a 'special events coordinator' at some bar in the city), kissed me goodnight, and left with some indian dude who looked like a doctor. Um, ok. Nice to meet you too?

So now I'm pissed off because she was actually really cool (and hot), so I head back to the casino floor to do more damage. After hitting a low of being $550 down I sat at the same XXXXin blackjack table for 6 more hours until I was back up to dead even...now it's 9:30 AM this morning.

Since the hotel room that I never even got to see had to be vacated by 11:00 anyway, I just left and drove home. Got back home at noon and went to bed for a few hours, went to the local police department for my firearms application appointment, and here I am.

So I broke even, and got a hot chick's business card for the bar she works at. Very anticlimactic evening. :|

I think I'm done with blackjack for a while. :laugh:
