THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd be fine with no snow.

My hard drive on my work laptop crashed this morning.

Working late tonight to get back on schedule. Also not getting my day off tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Would i be fine with around 5" of lift with a stock ds if I didn't flex at all or is that just a horrible all around idea, getting sick of looking at the spacers/shackles lying around and it would give me incentive to get a sye quick

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

front or rear? which trans? SYE or no?

Details, man. Details.

front driveshaft you'll be fine. Rear you will need a SYE and the propper driveshaft. If AW4/231 use 231/aw4 front driveshaft in rear. If ax-15/231 with sye use v8 zj front driveshaft. in rear and oem front driveshaft. Stock config with slip yoke on the back of the tcase? Faggheddaboutit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's what I figured

Is a 96 np231 the same as a 2000, both auto trans?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yup. and you will have hella vibes with the stock shaft and output

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thoughts on selling all of my Cherokee shit (not right now, don't have time, and I mean all of it), and eventually getting a scrambler? I love those Jeeps. (I know John B enjoys them too)

It would be a nice restomod type vehicle, with very mild offroading done on it. Nice for cruising around town and using on the beach.

yep, same exact thing. VSS sensor and gear may be different, just swap the one from your jeep onto it.

I've been considering just offering you what you have into Bill's old jeep if you decide to do this. Hell, if you want to keep the motor (and any other stuff) I'd be willing to pull everything you want and deliver it, negotiable on price.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Prepare to be bombarded with CJ8's.

They look pretty nice stock...

Super clean (I think I like this one the best in terms of restomod types)

This thing would look so much cooler if it had a long metal whip antenna, that was attached in the back and bent over and anchored in the front. (like Humvees)

Maybe a little too modern for my tastes

You mean something like this Colin?

One thing is for certain, I would have to have white wagon wheels on it.

I was actually just thinking of this Jeep earlier tonight.

Honestly, this might actually be the easiest thing to do. I have no idea when I would be able to (or when I'd have the motivation to) take multiple trips out to your place to start parting it, or how I would transport parts around. I would probably need to keep the motor and trans, not sure if I would need really anything else, maybe the single heated mirror that isn't destroyed. I mainly wanted it when I had planed to chop the green Jeep.

We'll see, if you want to talk about it more hit me up backchannel.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark is the 3rd pic you posted the one that pres. Regan owned? Looks just like it iirc...

And to kinda go along with what you said...scramblers are cool. But you shouldn't own one because it would rot out in a few years and die a sad beach ridden death.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my buddy has 4 scramblers, and another all original from the west coast that is for sale.

they're definitely cool, but usually go for a premium over other jeeps.

go for a jeepster commando. they're just badass.

Will do. It's a hell of a drive to do repeatedly, and it wouldn't take me more than a couple hours to pull the whole drivetrain and/or whatever else you want to keep.
