THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My boss paid just over a million for his 98 F355

that car worth no more the 150k, anyways at most the ones in the pics are worth 200k tops, cept the scuderia wich cost a good bit more, even though the come with a fully stripped interior

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I heard 3mil, not 30.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just shows that the best cars in the world are shit with a shitty driver

with that being said i got one leaky fitting, getting gas though the threads of one of the an fittings in the t fot the air puge line

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im being wicked lazy with this leaky fitting, parked the jeep outside, really dont want to order another fitting and pull all this shit apart

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I seem to have got ridiculously high fuel economy today. I left the house with a little over 1/4 tank and now have a little less than 1/4 tank. I know that gauge isn't the most accurate thing but the last time I drove the Jeep I would leave home with a little over 1/4 tank and would have to fill up by the time I got home :dunno: Not complaining.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My gauges are better at lying than most politicians. The one in the 98 just started acting up, it now reads 1/8 full when it has at least 1/3 to 1/2 and you can basically see it drop as you drive just after filling the tank.

It still has a bad head gasket and still gets 16mpg (calculated based on amount added and mileage driven.) I have no idea how it pulls this off, but I'm not gonna XXXX with it till it either explodes or stops getting such decent fuel economy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm fairly certain I was getting at least 15mpg today, probably higher than that, with a heavy right foot. Gotta fill up tomorrow morning and then start measuring the mileage I put on it for a tank. Hopefully google maps is fairly close with their distances between places since that's what I'll be using for the most part.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah... I have to use a heavy foot on this one or I don't go anywhere. Accelerating requires at least 3-4k rpm. It'll still maintain 95mph somehow though.

It's magical. I don't know why it still runs, and it's getting better mileage than two of my other jeeps that both have no motor problems, even before I put big tires on them.

you should unplug the injectors and remove the plugs on the dead cylinders and see what happens

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've been considering it. But every time I go to drive somewhere, I don't feel like messing with it. And I suspect those cylinders actually start working again up around 3k because it really, really picks up power wise at that point - it feels like boost kicking in. I guess at that point the piston is moving fast enough that it compresses the fuel/air mix enough to get a good power stroke before it can leak out the hole into the other cylinder.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

depends on whether I care or not.

I don't really care about the red jeep. At all. My feelings toward it range from "XXXXing thing better get me there, then I'll fix it" to "XXXX this thing I am going to drive it until it catches fire". I will never get my money back out of it if I sell it, and it went from great condition to shit mechanically so fast that I pretty much just hate it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just amazed that this is your second vehicle with a bad HG that you continue to drive faster than any sane person would with a good running vehicle.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have like twice that into it, and it's the only vehicle I have (till next week) that won't get me pulled over :(

Eventually when the motor blows up I'll fix it right. I have all the parts, I just can't convince myself to give a shit unless it literally won't move.

edit: which was the other with a bad HG? I CAN'T drive the 5 ton faster than a sane person, because it won't go above 54mph or so. Maybe faster than a 90 year old grandmother on her way to church. I only go that fast in the red XJ when I have managed to bait some other dumb XXXXer into being my radar decoy, and know all the hiding spots anyways :eyes:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I remember the good ole days when I had to tach out the Jeep in 3rd gear to maintain speed up the hills on the pike.

And I'm pretty disappointed. I almost convinced my buddy to buy that rust free MJ. Then he got the call and it ends up his Miata may not be totaled and they want him to bring it to the shop for a better look.

My Jeep was running like it's just been getting better and better on it's own :dunno: Only thing that isn't great now is the pilot bearing noise and I'm going to try and pick up a trans the day I get back from California next week and convince my buddy to give me a hand swapping it out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

which rust free MJ? they should sell it to me for <$600 instead.
