Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

WE'RE DISCUSSING BOOTS AGAIN!!?!?!??!

it's actually about time I got another set, I bought some walmart cheap shit ones sometime around june and they're already trash. Heel's coming disconnected on the left one (and it leaks like a sieve if I step in a puddle) and the steel toe liners on both of them have come unglued and slide around, I have to push them back into place with my toes once in a while.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've had Tim pros for a few years. Oil ate them and whatnot. The tread is separating and the inner liner is all torn up.

I only wear them for working on my MJ or doing stuff outside.

Have yet to feel the need to buy new ones. Maybe next year before wheeling season.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Niiiiice. My next boots will probably be Red Wings. I wouldn't justify them when I was a mechanic because the oil ate my Timberland boots up until they had no tread in ~7 months.
My old Redwings had the oil resistant soles, and I wore those everyday for 2 years landscaping and turning wrenches and they still have tread. I got the oil resistant soles again this time, they're supposed to be slip resistant too. They'll resole your boots for $70, with any sole you want for no extra charge.

and yes Ken, BOOOOOOTSSSSSSS!!!!

Better topic:

up for sale is a set of fully rebuilt, geared and locked high pinion dana 44 and 9" combo. the axles are originally out of a 1978 F150.

REAR: Big Bearing 9", torn down to the bare housing and 3rd member. a brand new 4.88 ring and pinion were installed, eliminated the crush sleeve with a solid spacer. all new pinion bearings, carrier bearings, lockrite ratcheting locker, outer tube bearings. Also did a disc brake conversion using the popular 73-87 chevy halfton caliper and pads, and a mid 90's dodge rotor.

FRONT: High Pinion Dana 44, torn down to the bare housing. new 4.88 ring and pinion installed, new pinion and carrier bearings, spartan ratcheting locker, axle seals. the knuckles are chevy 10 bolt flat top knuckles that are drilled and tapped for high steer (passenger side has crossover arm), it is the small baring spindle so i was able to still use the ford hub and rotor and keep the 5x5.5" lug pattern. it uses the chevy caliper bracket so the pads and rotors are identical to the rear. super winch hubs, new wheel bearings and spindle bearing, axle u joints, the works. also a 3/8" thick cast SOLID industries diff. cover. the steering is set up for 3/4" heim joints with a grade 8 5/8" through bolt.

Also included in the sale will be a set of bias ply 38" TSL's on aluminum 15x10 "hurricane" wheels

Wants $1500 for it all. Think I should offer $8/900 for the axles with out tires?

And what do you think I could get for my axles, $800? Both aussie locked, 4.88s, RS covers, multiple spare shafts, rear discs, and front alloy usa tube seals/

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those seem pretty cheap

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've started really, really liking my local Papa John's.

$11 large pie is a good deal, especially with whatevertheXXXX you want on it. So half pepperoni + bacon, half spicy sausage, pepper, + bacon. I order it online and pay by credit card, and the damn thing gets to my door in 15 minutes, and the place is like 6 minutes away at least. Delivery dude is cool as shit and delivers around the back of my house with no problem. Then I wrap a few slices and take them to work tomorrow to reheat for lunch.

Good stuff. Especially when you're stuck at home with nothin to eat and can't go out. :|

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm sorry that you wasted 6 outta 7 of your pizza deal on boring or shitty toppings.

When you want something that isn't a single micropizza delivered to your house with a plethora of delicious toppings instead of nothing, the pricing scheme is a little different.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So much more to top them all with something good, and then tip the guy to get it to you?

Not gonna lie, I overtip the XXXX outta my pizza guy, because he absolutely hauls ass to get me my pizza, and I respect that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im a pretty good tipper.

like $18 on a $20 tab

that was a mistake

as far as pizza goes, nobody even delivers to my house

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Papa John's pizza is terrible.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That sucks.

Stelios wins pizza hands down.

I got 7 12" pizzas for $25.

3 cheese, 1 bbq chix, 2 mushroom, and 1 black olive.
XXXX that.

full size pizza. extra heavy bacon, provelone cheese, extra heavy regular cheese, bbq sauce, pepperoni, black olives, green peppers, sausage, ham, and chicken.

my boss made fun of me when it showed up. asked me if I was high as a kite or something. It was the best XXXXing pizza ever (aside from BCP, they don't have that here it seems)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't REQUIRE 10 toppings. but I was starving and all of them looked good. so I got them all.

Also I may be inheriting a second vehicle from the guy who sold me the MJ and parked a blue airplane in the yard, he's sick and tired of trying to fix his 97 audi a4 quattro and just wants it gone. it runs and drives fine except for some stupid stuff and just won't start with the key, you have to bump start it. I live on a hill. I'm not sure whether I should fix it and sell it back for $smallamount, fix it and sell it on CL, or fix it and keep it around in case all my jeeps shit the bed as usual. Or just not fix it and bump it every time I need to drive it.
