DOHC timing belts aren't bad at all. We can do my buddy's Miata in no time at all. Pull the valve cover and use a couple adjustable wrenches and a pair of vice grips to hold the cams and you're good to go. Don't even need the vice grips if you have two people.

Edit: Though the miata is a non-interference engine so that might be part of the reason why it's easy; not quite so important to keep the cams from moving.

ive done one that way before, was on a taurus though.

Also I'm going to run the D60-ISU with stock shafts. I heard their cool but XXXX getting alloys. Alloys are gay. Why would you get alloys when stock shafts are free, no reason.

Hey Adam, how much of a PITA is it to replace the head gaskets and timing belt on that 2.5RS? THe Guy isn't sure if the serivce was done. If I can talk him down and the service is n't a nightmare I might get it and do the service myself over a weekend.

It honestly isnt that bad to do. Other than having the head machined, it can easily be done in a day. DOHC is a little more tricky to get set up than the SOHC, but as far as timing belts go, its still one of the easier ones to do.

Just a heads up, you're probably not going to get $1K for your tires Carmelo. I had 5 of 36x12.5 SX's, with one being brand new, and I sold all of them for well under $1K.

Unless it's a total pile

its not a total pile but he admits there are some things on it he wanted to change.

steering is heimed (squeaky)

traction bar jacks the rearend up a bit because its on the drivers side (he takes it off for when he drives it on the street a lot)

and it might have little things like a cracked tail light, couple dents, missing mirror. but unibody should be all there, i believe its plated too.

hopefully he gets back to me and didnt decide to keep it lol.
