retune? turbos own at pikes peak and mt washington bc the change in air density doesnt effect them as much. try and be fast at the bottom and top or a mountain with some dumb carb'd motor.

I dont really know why I said turbo there. I meant a carb'ed engine or something without FI that cant instantly adjust its perimeters and stuff.

I got 2 tailgates i wanna mount on my wall one from a CJ and one from a J10... anybody got any ideas to mount them flat on the wall?

really big magnets.
I'd probably take some 16ga metal strap (the stuff for mounting big hvac ducts with the holes prepunched down the middle) and use strong double face tape, liquid nails, or tack welds to attach it to the back of the tailgate, then toss some big screws in the wall and hang it up.

I was thinking of using chain but im no longer liking that idea ... I was thinking use some big self tappers into the back side and hang it with a short piece of chain but idk i want it like solid mounted..

you could also put some long screws into the wall (into studs of course... lol) that will hang out far enough to just rest the bottom edge of the tailgate on.

what's the condition of the tailgate? I have 3 spares but like to buy/collect them.
There's a guy on NH craigslist that has been trying to sell a table for a while that used a CJ tailgate as the center of the coffee table. Looked neat in pics, but who knows if it's dumb in person.

Drill a couple holes in the tailgate and then put a couple screws in the wall. Hang tailgate from the screws in the wall. Done.
And the steering box is pretty much rebuilt. All the internals are cleaned with the new o-rings on there. Just have to drill/tap the box itself, grind the plugs down so they don't block fluid flow, and put everything together; should be done tomorrow night.
Only reason I didn't finish it tonight is because one of the o-rings seems a bit stretched (or just a bit big) so I want to let it sit overnight to make sure it snugs up, otherwise I'll go to the hardware store and look for a suitable/tighter replacement.

yes. One of the o-rings on the input shaft assembly just seems a bit too big. The one that was on there before was quite snug while the new one seems to be a bit looser. Maybe I should just jam it all together and let it seal against itself :gee:
And before anyone says anything, yes I'm sure I have all the o-rings in the right places.
