THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Or you just hang out with 2 girls in one weekend...?
I'm totally cool with that too, but there's only one Saturday night per week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

3 chicks, 3 day weekend. red jeep, red trails. bam
I'm not man enough for this, but I'd love to give it hell. Someone got another girl and a red jeep for me to borrow?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I would have a wheelable red jeep this weekend if I didnt just find a broken leaf in the middle of the pack. FAWK YEAH! Wicked pumped I get to order new leafs now :flamemad:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't hate steering boxes tonight. That shit was simple. My black balls are light black and my chrome balls are shiny chrome. All torn down, degreased, dried, etc. Taking some pics of some tires to sell and pulling the Jeep up the driveway tomorrow (into the weekend parking spot), getting the old box and WJ pump out, and swapping the XJ pulley onto the pump. If I still have some time I will install my stereo/speakers in the garage and start replacing o-rings and seals. Much more productive night and I feel good rather than being an angsty SOB tonight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Truth. Maybe I should bring red jeep to this race track thingy I heard about.

I was thinking the same thing but decided that I would rather actually get work done on it since for some reason I seem motivated lately... I actually feel bad for not finding some other project to do before coming in and cleaning up tonight. Maybe I can get the steering and other shit done this weekend and be wheeling regularly sooner than later.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was wanting to bang out a bunch of stuff done to black jeep. I got the place to myself for a few days and three days off from work. I wanna start on my rockers too, maybe I'll pull the doors and cut/weld those for clearance.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

shit, I still gotta do those too. :laugh3: I have 4 days off but will be stuck at a family parties for the majority of that time so while I CAN work on stuff like welding rockers/etc, at the same time I can't because little kids will be running around so I probably shouldn't.

I'll just try to get the steering done and call it a weekend after that and enjoy the party. Would a 110V mig (with pre-heating) be enough to weld a trackbar bracket on the axle or should I really just tack it and have someone burn it in place with 220V tig/stick (or wait until I pick up a 220V stick and do it myself)? I have the tie rod and most of the drag link for my 1-ton steering done, just have to convince myself that I should cut the track bar bracket off to do the OTK steering. Once the Jeep is parked I will probably just hit it with a sawzall to get it to a point where I can't turn back and just HAVE to get it done

You'll be fine. Just crank up the heat on it and have at it.

Cool, definitely hacking it up this weekend then. If I don't do it right when I park the Jeep I will be doing it after a few glasses of whiskey and/or beer

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

who wants to go to Baltimore this weekend?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I tend to be paranoid about over building and seemingly I don't trust metal to be any stronger than a partially cooked noodle.. I mean, just earlier I spent way too much time (and that's being nice to myself) looking up the pressure ratings of pipe plugs for the steering box when, as was pointed out, I could probably just buy something off the shelf from HD or lowes and be perfectly fine.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'm going to be XXXXed for next weekend. I'm probably going to be wheeling a hack ass leaf pack
