THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its broken, buy a new one. they cost like 50 cents
I was hoping for something a little more insightful than that. But do you actually think it's a hardware problem? I was sort of afraid of that. I prefer to fix hardware problems but I recognize that software is the more common culprit.

Edit: I think I need to check to see if I have a SATA or IDE connection on the cd/dvd drives. The tower is 6 years old and I have an inkling telling me that it's IDE.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looks like a '68 Camaro, one of my favorite years. I bet it was a really nice car before :(

It would suck worse to be the passenger in that crash though.

i'd cry

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I agree, get a new one. This is one of the many times it is not cost effective/worth the time and effort to fix a hardware problem. A new, fast CD/DVD burner with lightscribe costs $20-$30, I just bought one a couple months ago.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'm going to say F*ck it and just run with the stuck front OX cable for NACfest. I really don't feel like changing it, and it is at least stuck in the locked position. I also plan on changing the routing of the cable, and I don't know where to yet, so I don't want to order the wrong length cable, or have to buy a second one. I'm sure my already horrible turning radius will suffer some, but who cares.

Not everyone has a state of the art computer. It did what I needed it to do in college and now it edits pictures every once in a while.

This one had lightscribe :( It was a good tower in the summer of '05.

I'll pop it open and check to see if it is in fact IDE tonight.

IDE was dated when I was in college, you arent much older of a gentleman. right now SATA is dated, SDDs direct to the mobo on a PCIe 16x slot is the hotness.

If I build my own, like what Mark just did, I'll have questions for you. My machine is quite dated and I know it. But it still works (except for this whole cd/dvd drive issue)

Assuming you meant SSDs

Hate to be that guy but they are kinda my job :D

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yesterday I sat and listened to a ZJ that had 2 18" subwoofers in a ported box. It had unibody cracks forming from the bass. It was ridiculous. Easily the loudest car I've ever been in. I can't even describe it.

Ya, but that hole is now smaller than 1/2" due to the plate that is welded on there.

I don't feel like remounting the lever right now. What length are you buying?
