THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Geez... you make it to easy!

And you suck at spelling.

As cool as those components are, and as good a deal as it might be, there's a good chance it'll be "too much" for the rig I have in mind. And I'm not the kinda guy who'd jump on it just to resell everything because I found a helluva deal.

Biggest thing is the width...I really don't want another full-width rig. As part of the PM I sent, I asked about the possibility of narrowing it and what that'd do to the shaft lengths etc...we'll see.

Is it beer o'clock yet?

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish it was beer o'clock. I have been reading text files all day. My head hurts. I wasn't going to drink anything tonight but after today: fawk that. Beer and Bruins.

Adam, I don't like your new avatar. It looks too much like someone I used to know, who was a quite odd individual.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just talked to some guy who had a British accent.

I dunno if it's a british thing or not, but the way he said 'H' was unusual. Like the letter H when you're spelling something. He said it kinda like "heytch".

His email address had 4 H's in it so I had ample time to note the consistency of this pronounciation.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

John Oliver (the comic I saw last weekend) said some words pretty interestingly. One of the funny ones, and he knew it was funny, was fu(k-knuckle.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's been an interesting day or two...

I got the '99 jeep to fire up, run, move and stop but that's about the extent of what it can do. The transmission is leaking like a mofo somewhere onto the exhaust, and when I took it to advance to pull the codes today it CAUGHT XXXXING FIRE! Thankfully I had a fire extinguisher with me to put it out before anything else lit up.

XXXX AAA with how they dealt with me, I'm never dealing with them ever again.

I had to swallow my pride and take the jeep to a transmission shop, screw auto transmissions. It's been feeling like it's starting up in fourth and stuck in fourth, or something is screwy with the torque converter....... or the engine isn't giving me any power. It's also running pretty damn rough, has an intermittent low idle, and stumbles / misfires at high RPMs.

I'm getting the following codes:

P0505: Idle control system malfunction
P0123: TPS Sensor A circuit high input
P1391: Manufacturer control ignition system or misfire
P0122: TPS sensor A circuit low input
P0740: TCC circuit malfunction

I think the torque converter may be the culprit, or possibly the TC solenoid might not be letting it lock up?

HALP!

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So 16k without an oil change....on my ride home from work today the minor top end tick changed quite abruptly to a scary low end knock...im pulled over on the side of the road waiting for my sister to deliver a couple quarts. I guess I ought to have stopped slacking and actually changed the oil.

Maintenance isnt one of my strong points :roflmao:
