THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bike died on the highway this morning.

Pulled over, cursed a bit, checked the oil and other stuff and tried to start it.

Fired right up. Decided FIRI.

Died again once I got up to highway speed.

Got off the next exit and figured "lets see how far home I can get".

Was fine on back roads so I just guesstimated which direction I should drive and eventually found my way. Took back roads to work. Now at work and hoping the bike makes it home.

Hoping that it's just bad gas. I filled up at a different station than I'm used to just before getting on the highway this morning so that might be it. Bike revs fine all the way up to 11k and seems to ride OK but if it sits at 5 or 6k+ RPMs for an extended period of time (e.g highway riding) it dies :dunno:

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ok... noob question...

Will someone explain lockers, and the reason why i need one?

And suggest which one is best bang for my buck?

Thanks

This should help. They make it easier to put your Jeep into terrible situations. They also go hand and hand with body damage.
Without looking, I'm going to guess that this is the red ZJ going over backwards.

edit: Adam's video is actually applicable and genuinely helpful. Nicely done, sir.

Sgt.Zipperhead - (I forget your name... John?) What axles do you have? Lunchbox lockers are cheap and effective.

I just throw all my spare change into the fill hole of my diff cover.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't have a youtube video of how it works though.

It's Sean. I have the d30 upfront, and I have the c8.25 in back. what are lunchbox lockers?

They replace the spider gears inside the carrier, rather than replacing the whole unit. ie - aussie, lockright

Other lockers are full case lockers, which replace the stock carrier as well as the spider gears like ARB or OX or something of the sort.

Lunchbox lockers are a fraction of the cost of full case lockers

That's a cool site! I'll have to remember that!

Thanks! I think that's the next big thing that i'm looking at!

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gona let her drive you around on the trails this weekend too? :)
Not this weekend. Might meet up with her at the beach on Saturday, but I have to work on Sunday

i used to make girls drive my jeep as a test to see if they were awesome enough for me to spend time with them. if they said no or couldnt handle bumpsteer i stopped hanging out with them lol
She drove me around in her 2010 JK with a 6 speed. :laugh3:

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just found an Arnold Palmer in my backpack.

Forgot I bought that last night.

Do I drink it now or save it until after lunch? Biggest decision I have had to make so far today..
