78-79 have cast mounts if they have wedges. 80 on is the TTB suspension, unless you have a heavy duty one that has a solid front axle.
the '77s in RI, and it comes with a 9", I think its the drivetrain.
76-77 are disk brakes, but that isn't a big deal as you will be switching to high steer anyways.
For the life of me, I can't remember which axles constitute leaf spring front. I think that may just be F250.

any reason *not* to use a 44 from a 250?? my main concern is making sure that the stuff I already have will work on whatever axle I'm getting.

well the "plan" is to narrow it to EB width, turn the inner c's, and use my EB shafts that I've got, and then all the stuff that I currently have knuckles-out, I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work, but just thought I'd double check with whoever before screwing myself heh
