THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill/Chris.

Give me some fuel cell rollover vent 101.

Can I just make a loop with like a 12" diameter and then drop it down through the bed floor with a filter on the end?

I used this:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3114/

Then did what you suggested.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I was cruising craigslist the other day looking for some of the cheaper xj's out there. What do you guys think of this one? Best part is its purple.

http://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/2347601039.html

Here is the email I just got for the guy.

"When i received the title in mail it said REBUILT. Did not have a reason. I know the tranny was rebuilt. I am trying to get a list of whats wrong, from my mech. He told me it needs rear end work, like wheel bearings. all in alll it will take around 2000 to fix. Right now the motor starts and runs good, the body is good shape except for front driver side quarter is broken.I am negotiable, and will post new add soon with more pics and list of work to be done. If interested please call xxxxxx"

Don't know if the rebuilt CT title will be a problem, or what he means by the "front quarter is broken?" I was thinking no more than $800 for it.

pessimism ftw :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My parts guy is going to warranty my shitty hub bearing.

AWESOME.
Do you think it was a faulty part or it just wore out? Either way it's sweet that he's taking care of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think it was a faulty part probably.

The passenger side is the same brand, and is still tight after a little over a year. (aka ~35k miles).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No one has any comments on that XJ I posted?

How in the hell did you travel 35K miles in a year? I got less than 5K on the brairwood my last co-op, and that included trips from boston to the cape almost every weekend. That was in 6 months, so still less than roughly 10K per year.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and not sure why you want to buy a total piece of junk, possibly problematic XJ.

I would just look for a cheap one that needs a drivetrain or something.

Oh...and first find a job :D

I don't think I would call that a total piece of junk. Didn't you do the same with your comanche? And most of the stuff that is wrong, would be replaced.

Ya, I have found maybe 1 Jeep in the last couple months that just needs a drivetrain, and they wanted $1,500 for it. The jeep I posted falls into the "or something" category.

Let me enjoy not having ANYTHING to do for a couple days, will you? :D

I didn't buy something with a "rebuilt" title. That's the only thing that would worry me. Getting a title in MA can be a PITA. It does look ok though? I think he means fender when he says quarter.

Because you're probably only looking at 97+ right?

NOPE :D

I would obviously check on the title before I did anything, but that doesn't make it a total piece of junk. Ya I got the front quarter is the fender, I've heard many people call it that before, I just don't get how it can be "broken." I mean, you can dent it, you can scratch it, etc, but how can you "break it?"

Nope. Keith can vouch, he took a look at an XJ wagoneer for me a couple months ago. Looking at all Jeeps, I still haven't found more than 1 that needs a drivetrain.

S mah D !

:D

Foosball tournament soon please?
