THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No idea what the picture was (can't see it at work) but Eff that. This is THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread, you can't just axe an entire category of discussion.
It's a motorcycle racer dragging elbow. It really is pretty badass.

Edit: oops misinterpreted.

If Colin really had no comment he wouldn't have said anything. Instead I have to write this and ask what it was that he was thinking. :laugh3:

Oh, and Chris. Can I seriously claim a spot in your next race? Preferably sometime right after NACfest since I can't afford to give up any weekends yet. I really want to get a feel for it so I know what I'm signing up for (not that I'll be backing out :D).

Is the next Line Mtn one in July or something? I would be 100% willing to drive down to your place or something.

Adam's got the right seat for the season, but if for some reason he can't make one of 'em, I'll definitely let you know.

With the door bars and half the front cage removed, normal-size people can actually fit pretty comfortably now. :)

Line Mountain dates are June 11th, July 16th, and September 17th. The July event is the Coal Bucket, aka Fast Miler, which last year was 10 laps at about 2.5-3 miles each. That's the one that goes across the fields and stuff. September is the 7-miler which is notoriously more difficult, that one was 4 laps @ 10 miles per lap last year.

Even if you don't race the July one, it's probably worth coming to watch - that one moves pretty quick and the place itself is a unique experience. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I didn't mean no comment towards the picture, I meant towards the news story.

The guy sounds like a tard.
Oooh... my mistake

Yeah he definitely sounds like it. It's a shame society has put EBR's on such a pedastal of evil. They don't magically jump up and start shooting toddlers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

a few good ones. unfortunately ran out of memory by the end of the first lap :(

thing was probably useless after that though bc it was REALLY muddy. next race i'll get a 16gb.. anymore than that is useless bc the battery only lasts 2.5 hours. i got about an hour and 15 minutes of video total.

Aww man. ghey. :(

Is there a lower quality setting? Even the youtube 360 bastardization looks pretty good still.

I imagine it gets more interesting when one lap doesn't consume the entire hour 15 mins. lol.

Not a problem, if I'm going to come down though I kind of want to ride along considering it's a 6-8 hour drive for me and I'd have to make at least a night out of it .

The only one I could see making is the July 16th one. June 11th is too soon, as I need time for NACfest, and Sept 17th is the one I'm hoping to make with my own rig :firedevil:

according to the site and packaging, 2.5 hours of battery is the best you can get. i recorded at 720p just to not clog up the card (and kill my macbook editing it). i'll check around the internets and see if anyone is reporting longer life.

we'll just have to run as fast as eric miller next time so we can get the whole race recorded :D

why not just race in the july one if you're gonna bother to go down there, and your rig will be together by the end of june? go to nacfest, come home, do the cage, add a cutoff switch/buy helmet, go race. I don't see why that doesn't work? It's a simple enough concept...show up, mash the gas and beat the XXXX out of your rig and try to win. you don't need to see what you're getting yourself into first...

the line mtn rigs are pretty damn sketchy looking... leaf sprung cjs on 33s with white shocks run it, i dont think you'll have a problem colin lol

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I won't be able to build a bender and get a cage done in 3 weeks.

I just don't see it happening...

Maybe, but I highly doubt it.

I'm planning on getting all parts/steel together for the bender right when I get back from NACfest though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Update on the Burlington Mall...

Looks like the guy had a didn't have a permit for his large capacity Samurai sword umbrella. God forbid he wants to stay dry.

Fawk this state and all the loonies who think that long black skinny things go boom.

:roflmao: awesome :D
heh, you got me. pedestal of doom would have been fitting instead, i suppose.

use my bender. gawd

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

come to LI, we have a bender, welder, notcher, plasma cutter..

I want to build my own bender so I have it in the future, and I also want to learn how to bend the tube and whatnot.

It's not the end of the world to me if I don't make the July race. It's not like I have to wait a whole year before I can race again.

I also wouldn't mind having the summer to work all the kinks out of the truck rather than go headfirst into a race with MAYBE 2 trail runs on it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sounds like an awful lot of excuses to me :laugh3:
