THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I like my Redwings, which are a little different as I have the loggers. My friend has those Chippewas though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My Merrill boots were bitchin' this weekend. Zero complaints, especially when walking back a mile and a half through the mud & flowing rivers after the jeep got shut down.

Gonna need a good cleaning though.

i didnt want to wear mine on race day, as i was twice nearly knee deep in mud :laugh2:

worked great sunday though lol

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Understandable. I have flatter feet so that's probably why I don't mind them.

Maybe that's why I like my Tim pros and some other people don't. My feet are completely flat. :dunno: Speaking of which, I gotta find them. They disappeared over the winter ever since I went to VT back in January IIRC.

And I can't wait to get out of here today. I was hoping/planning on calling out sick tomorrow but my boss went into the hospital for surgery last Thurs night. Be planned on being back in the office by today but due to complications he is stuck working from home until at least Thurs this week. Now I gotta keep showing up on site here to take care of shit.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

not yet, vids and pics is on my list for when i get home today

Cool.

There are two things I hope turned out well...at least one of the 5th gear stretches through the woods, and you taking the express route down the muddy winch hill.

Thanks again for running the cable, that is most certainly a bitch job.

In other news, I got home to find my laptop won't even boot into safe mode. Now I have two dead laptops. I'm gonna see if I can get it to boot to the command prompt at least to try and back up some stuff (if it'll even find my USB drive), and I'm going now to Office Depot to buy the family-pack Windows 7 upgrade. :explosion

WHAAAAAT? I'm in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Did anyone read on Pirate that they are developing a stock and stock mod class for KOH?

Red jeep is all over that. Lets all get some beater XJ's, build them like Rob's blue jeep, and show em how its done.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, I think motor is the thing I'd be least satisfied with in my jeep if I were racing it. the 4.0 is great for crawling and it's pretty damn reliable and easy to work on...but I'm not so sure it's a "race" motor. :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Broad, flat torque curve would be good for racing I think?

I don't see a problem with the 4.0

Other than the fact that once you start adding weight it's not going to have enough power to overcome it.

I haven't been to any races yet, but I would think acceleration > top speed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wonder what would blow up if I dumped clutch at 6k rpms with a built 440 w/ aluminum heads?

Trans input shaft, right at the neckdown after the splines. :gag:

Adam is completely hooked on the racing stuff now...we can't wait to see how your Line Mountain experience goes. :D

that's what I was thinking of. Not that it isn't a good motor, but just wouldn't have the power to stay competitive? I really have no idea

 I was going to say the whole trans case implodes on itself...

I'm so unbelievably pumped like every day. I can't even concentrate on work/homework anymore.

I don't even care if I only make it like 2 miles, I just want to race :D

I agree with this.
