THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was looking at that last week. Seems like a decent setup if the fans are a good model.
Listening to Colin's electric fans all the time when he had his setup like that was annoying. Hopefully those are quieter than stock e-fans.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Right now I have one 'stock' fan that's always on when the key's on, and the second stock fan with the stock wiring so the ECU turns it on and off. I don't even notice it anymore.

My rig's kinda loud as it is though...but these fans have nothin' on some of the retarded setups on a lot of race rigs.

His fans are supposed to be really goos, although they look just like my most likely crappy knock off fans. With all my fans going, I dont really hear them moreso over the rest of the jeep.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My e-fans, muffler-less exhaust, and throttle body spacer TRIPLED my HP.
it was all the throttle body spacer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'm going to order this:

One of my electric fans is shot, and I never liked my mounting arrangement anyway. Plus I already have it all apart because the shot fan rubbed through a few rows in the radiator.

who makes that?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yikes...
Sam's: 30 bucks for a WJ booster
New American Used Auto Parts (over on envelope terrace near bell pond): 35 bucks
Amazon: 119
RockAuto: 95 new, but 65 dollar core!
Napa: some ridiculous price
AutoZone: some REALLY ridiculous price

Looks like I'm taking a spin by Envelope St on the way home.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nope, not what I was saying at all if you are using it as a spacer. I don't think I would use it for the support legs though, isn't is just 1/16" wall?

I'm hoping for a good week!
like Colin said 1/8 wall, i think ill end up usis 1x2 or 2x2 like you and colin, but only 3 pieces per side and ill use the 1x1 inbetween

and on talk of tool, those who bring full socket and wrench sets are silly, i only a had
13mm12pt socket
1/2 to 3/8 adapter
1/2 rachet,
breaker bar
3/4 socket
5/16 wrench
just enough to change a axle or drive shaft, it was amazing how much better the jeep did when i pulled 2oolbs of tools n shit out the backbig jeep will have a tool bag with minmal shit to

I've had to fix all kinds of goofy shit on the trail. The other reason is that when I'm prepping to go wheeling it's easier to just whip the whole sack of tools into the back seat and take off than it is to figure out what I actually need :roflmao:

Plus you've seen how much of a pile the thing is, I've had to fix it on the side of the road a few times.

Add a spare TPS, CPS, 11mm socket, and torx bits for the TPS bolts if you are truly unlucky or like to play in the mud.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had a new style e-fan and an old style e-fan in, along with a CSF 3-row and a flowkooler pump.

Never went over 210 unless I was beating on it and not going anywhere (aka wheeling) in hot temps.

I wouldn't run the setup again. There was minimal gain over a mechanical fan.

The setup from Dirt Bound looks pretty nice though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What are you guy's opinions on an oil filter relocation kit and oil cooler? I have one sitting in my garage, along with some fancy electric fan.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i might rock that setup.

sounds pretty foolproof to me

i've knocked clutch fans off of over trucks before, and definitely noticed a difference in power. i have no reason to upgrade yet, but i think that dirt bound kit is def on my list down the road.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
