THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Are you planning on using your shocks as bumps and/or limit straps?

If not, just weld a bolt to the axle tube and move onto something else.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Weld a bolt to the axle housing, order those, when the bolt snaps you'll have the bracket on hand to replace it with.

Are you using the stock upper shock mount(s)? I love the stock MJ rear upper shock mounts, at least compared to stock XJ rear upper shock mounts.

Ross, he wants the shock bolt perpendicular to the axle tube. I almost said the same thing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my gf sent me a picture of a positive pregnancy test, said she took 3 of them and they were all positive. then went along with it for like 20 minutes. not cool.

Also thinking about ordering these for the back:

Saves me time from having to make them and also puts them in double shear, perpendicular to the axle (which is what I want).

do this:

my shocks are my limit straps and the shocks break first
(its a 5/8" bolt, im not worried)

thats just some 3/16" hitch tubing i made to bring it out to line up with the stock xj shock mounts better.

Ross you can't call me lazy...just doesn't make sense lol.

I'll probably just do that Sam. I'm not running limit straps out back. I don't expect monster travel out of the back, but we'll see.

if you get a good shackle angle, you can get monster travel way too easily

and later changed to this, because I kept pulling the mounting bolt through those from the side loading:

The little round dickhead looking thing is a piece of 2" round UHMW stock I got from McMaster, cut in half, then drilled/tapped for a stud:

(hint: Colin, you should do that for your bumpstops, it's relatively cheap and works great)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I have a chunk of delrin about that size (1.5" or 2", iirc) around here somewhere, too. Yours if you need it and I can find it.

I have those, they came with my rear 44.

I would love to have one of those trucks.

Another awesome old jeep pickup I can't afford to buy. :banghead:

One of those, restored, with a 60 and a 60/70/14ff plus a 6bt would be awesome. No way I am doing one though, no time no money...
